You have to submit a request, which i guess will be very limited right now. Another few months i reckon before its becomes more open.
 
Definitely a game changer! Pinterest will add "buy" button as well.

I keep telling you guys that are seeing these new Instagram changes as a bad thing. NO, this GREAT NEWS.

I'll give you an example. I know of someone on IG that makes 2MM per yea selling smoking related products and their only advertising platform is Instagram. They only have 80k followers. Now you can come in and target their followers and sell your own related products. Their are already people who have built large followings on products for us. They've done all the hard work and we can now come in and steal their following.
 
Great news! Will try my luck using their PPC if they open this one in public (not limited).
 
If they don't make this public, I wonder how hard it will be to get in.

You pay Instagram to promote your product to someone's followers.
You're promoting it to the perfect target audience, which took him/her time and money to grow.
It's not rocket science. Instagram is just making it easier to promote stuff to their userbase.

Oh right that's what you mean. So it's much better than a shoutout then, but wouldn't that make it worse to earn money through shoutouts yourself?
 
They are turning just like facebook, only big accounts will be able to survive the wave.
 
I'm very excited about that!
