How to cloak Affiliate Link.

Today i will share BHW member how to cloak affiliate link. So lets get's start.

Step 1: 1st you need a server like a web hosting and a domain.

Step 2: add your domain in your server then set up WordPress under your domain.

Step 3: then go to your WordPress admin panel and go to plugin option. and install a link cloaking plugin name "pretty link lite". if you have premium version for this plugin that would be best. Because the premium plugin have many feature.

Free version have only 2 feature 1st is "307 Temporary Redirect" 2nd is "301 Permanent Redirect"

Premium feature have 5-6 feature... So i think premium version best for link cloaking. Premium version rate is 97$ but i have premium version. If you need just let me know.

Step 4: after install then go to pretty link plugin and cloak your link and give any name. I mean link name. last time there is a nodofolow option. Please write that section. Then click create. Then you can get a link and you can see how many people visit your link.

I use one called z.ips.me

It is a simple install and works like a charm. I use it to post adfly links on craigslist with no problem. Since the domain i install it on isnt blacklisted I can use it until it gets flagged and then just buy a new domain for a few bucks and keep on posting.
 
Interesting tutorial. Do you know the people behind pretty link lite?
 
I am new in this field.Can anyone explain what is cloaking?
 
I will personally try this and let you know, what does cloaking help with on craiglist?
 
Well it's a cheap and crude method.. But two things you need to be aware of..

1. Your redirects if using WP will be slow. Kiss goodbye to a LOT of conversions if your page doesn't load quickly.

2. If you are using your own money site, prepare for it to be flagged with site advisor/WOT etc..
 
If I have my affliate link on craigslist and I use pretty link lite to redirect it.. How will it show up to my networks? .. Cause ethey dont let me use CL , but I can drive lots of traffic from CL. Also, none of my links on CL are acually clickable so my traffic wouldnt actully be coming from a "source anyways" it would all show up as direct. Do you think this would be suspicious for advertisers?? .. all my traffic being "direct" .. thought it would be a redirected PL version tho and not my actual raw aff link on CL...

There are free wp plugins you can use to cloak your links. just google
1)Affiliate Link Cloaking
2) Affiliate Link Cloaker


I have used the Affiliate Link Cloaking plugin and is does the job.

Good small tutorial, but it looks even more good if you have attached a video with it.
