Today, there is a big update from Moz. Domain authority is dropped of the majority of sites.

I see 30% DA dropped.

Anyone else facing this? It's bad news for PBN owners

Bad news for PBN owners?

Google doesn't give a hoot what your DA is.

Maybe Moz changed their algo, doesn't matter tho.

Edit: Heres your answer to the lower DA.

"You'll notice this index is a bit smaller than much of what we've released this year. That's intentional on our part, in order to get fresher, higher-quality stuff and cut out a lot of the junk you may have seen in older indices. DA and PA scores should be more accurate in this index (accurate meaning more representative of how a domain or page will perform in Google based on link equity factors)"

Yeah noticed it on one of my sites today. Dropped from 17 to 12. Other sites stayed the same though.

Saw the huge drop too. One of my moneysite that earns through paid posting move from DA39 to DA25.

Some went up, some went down, but mostly around same values where domains were. My free image site that got a lot of natural mentions in the previous period went down from 30 to 21....ah, whatever

Don't bother about the stats, what matters is the profits you are racking in, no? :)

Instead of the sky is falling because PR has changed, we now see the sky is falling because DA has changed.

I was going to check some of my sites this morning after seeing some comments in various places about the DA changes, as well as some emails from people, but decided to pass on spending any time on that today.

Google trumps {Moz DA|outside metrics} and I know that what I build to the sites over which I have stewardship are quality links without any footprints.

Do that and the updates won't cause you to reach for the closest bottle of fine liquor (not that there is anything wrong with that) if you see a drop in your metric rankings.

I think this is a good update in my opinion. It is another opportunity to see fresh DA and start with expanding the PBN empire

What is the point of even paying attention to DA rank by Moz, it just seems like a big scam site.

well, you are not along and some hip talking on MOZ blog, though these metrics drop will not affect your sites ranking, but what if you were a domain broker like me?

Fucked up for sure, now its much harder to find clean DA/PA 20+++

I couldn't care less about DA/PA.

Sell a domain based on stats from google and how much it earns.

DA dropped for one of my sites, and for another its risen quite a lot - shame my ranking didn't.

DA is not important as most of us focusing on ranking only, but its big loss for those who are building PBN for links selling and in a business of domains selling.
