I'm not going to make this a long post, but I firmly believe that Dogecoin is going to be completely worthless in the near future. And the more research I do, the more I strongly believe that Reddcoin will take its place as the authority social tipping currency.
I have already traded all my Dogecoins for Reddcoins and here are the 3 main reasons why:
1: Dogecoin started as a joke and will end as a joke. Businesses aren't going to take a joke coin seriously and accept it as payment...Especially the ones who are run by old geysers whom don't even know what a meme is.
2: The doge meme itself is dying. Within a year, it will be completely dead. How ever could a coin get widespread adoption if its based on a meme that makes zero sense to the vast majority of the public? Every single person I've showed the meme to doesn't even know what to think. They always just look completely confused and somewhat let down.
3: The Dogecoin devs are in way over there head... They created it not thinking anything would happen, and it did. When dogewallet was hacked, I lost many many coins. The devs created savedogemas.com where people donated 15 million coins to help those who lost them. And months later, I haven't seen a single coin. I even personally skyped with Ben, the creator of Dogecoin, whom told me to my face several times that I should expect to see at least 1/4 of my coins back within the week. I waited and nothing. I started sending messages to him asking what's going on, and nothing. It's been months now... So this makes me wonder what the hell they are doing with all those donated coins. It also makes me strongly question whether the devs themselves were the ones behind the dogewallet shiest.
So yea, I really don't see Dogecoin going anywhere. The ONLY advantage it has over Reddcoin is a few months head start.
This is just my opinion, so please take all of it with a huge grain of kosher salt. I might just be full of shit.
