Time to trade your Dogecoin for Reddcoin... Or just sell it.

I'm not going to make this a long post, but I firmly believe that Dogecoin is going to be completely worthless in the near future. And the more research I do, the more I strongly believe that Reddcoin will take its place as the authority social tipping currency.

I have already traded all my Dogecoins for Reddcoins and here are the 3 main reasons why:

1: Dogecoin started as a joke and will end as a joke. Businesses aren't going to take a joke coin seriously and accept it as payment...Especially the ones who are run by old geysers whom don't even know what a meme is.

2: The doge meme itself is dying. Within a year, it will be completely dead. How ever could a coin get widespread adoption if its based on a meme that makes zero sense to the vast majority of the public? Every single person I've showed the meme to doesn't even know what to think. They always just look completely confused and somewhat let down.

3: The Dogecoin devs are in way over there head... They created it not thinking anything would happen, and it did. When dogewallet was hacked, I lost many many coins. The devs created savedogemas.com where people donated 15 million coins to help those who lost them. And months later, I haven't seen a single coin. I even personally skyped with Ben, the creator of Dogecoin, whom told me to my face several times that I should expect to see at least 1/4 of my coins back within the week. I waited and nothing. I started sending messages to him asking what's going on, and nothing. It's been months now... So this makes me wonder what the hell they are doing with all those donated coins. It also makes me strongly question whether the devs themselves were the ones behind the dogewallet shiest.

So yea, I really don't see Dogecoin going anywhere. The ONLY advantage it has over Reddcoin is a few months head start.

This is just my opinion, so please take all of it with a huge grain of kosher salt. I might just be full of shit.

I tend to agree. Moreover, I would sell the Reddcoins as well. :)

    Just a hunch.
I have looked into it and it took me a while to understand what its about.
Then took me another while to understand how to use it.
Then another while to find a wallet.

And when I finally got a wallet I figured that people tip a maximum of about 100 RDD with total supply of 15,852,950,018.
I may be wrong, but it looks like the coin is not being distributed properly, and many people do not really feel they possess something of value.

Hmmm, well when I first googled Reddcoin, the first thing that popped up read: Reddcoin is the social currency dedicated to tipping on social networks as a way to bring crypto-currencies to the general public. which made perfect sense to me. So, it took me about 8 seconds to figure out what it was about. Finding a wallet was also easy, but I understand what you mean. I had to Ctrl F then type in Wallet to find where the download link was. They certainly should add a top menu button.

And as for that second part, if you head over to the reddcoin subreddit, you'll notice most people tipping 1k. However, I do agree that even 1k is to small, and that many people will indeed see no value in getting tipped these small amounts. But lets say you created a very useful youtube video that goes viral and instead of just getting a few million views, you also got tipped hundreds of thousands or even millions of reddcoin. To me, this concept will only improve the amount of value that is online! People will produce better content simply because they'll get tipped for it. That's why I do see a social tipping currency becoming mainstream here soon. It just depends on which one! And my hunch is that it most certainly won't be Dogecoin.

If I had to put my money into a coin it would be Megacoin. Assuming the USG doesn't arrest Kim Dotcom, he would manage it responsibly I believe.

I have large amounts of both coins but believe doge will do better, the meme might die but people will just ignore the meme part. The price is in a lull right now and people freak out and jump ship, once less and less coins are being put out into the market it should go up and the band wagoners will jump back on. Redd seems cool but really it's not getting the smallest fraction attention doge is getting. People just lose faith when prices don't shootup to a $1 a coin like they thought it would getting into this whole thing. A lot of people aren't realizing the volume is still there, doge has at least a million in volume done in 24hrs vs redds 5k, so it's far from dying and still blowing redd out of the water. Just like bitcoin, it takes a lot of time, I still see doge winning out and doing well long-term but only time will tell.

    Just a quick update/bump

Reddcoin has been climbing in value since I first posted this thread. Dogecoin has been dropping in value since I first posted this thread. Reddcoin now sits at just about half the value of Dogecoin and in less than 2 months, I firmly believe Reddcoin will surpass Dogecoin.

If you didn't listen to my advice back in March, you should probably consider it now before your Dogecoin is completely useless.

Trade your cryptocurrencies for cash, use cash to buy gold, hide gold under your bed. Surely a better idea.

I was mining over 1M DOGE per day when it was fairly new, I sold it almost instantly because I was earning $100 per day. A few days later DOGE skyrocket and if I would've held my coins for just a few days instead of selling them instantly I would have been earning $1000 per day on mining.

I agree with Dogecoin. Day by day its price is decreasing. Today 1000 Doge= $0.17. I am not sure about Reddcoin. In some forums I have found that Reddcoin mining and trading is profitable but I haven't tried yet.
