I don't usually ask these types of questions, but I'm looking at taking on a VA. I have hired a few previously, but never had the best experiences. Either they lie on their resume or in the interview and pretend that they know a lot, but when it comes down to real world practicality - they're not so good.
I'm not some SEO guru, but I can tell when someone is talking smack and then delivering crappy results or require me to hold their hand the whole way.
I really want to pick someone up who has a decent understanding of SEO, who has access to various SEO tools, and someone who is reliable.
I currently can only afford to pay typical SEO wages when outsourcing to the Philippines, etc. So obviously not someone from the USA, AUS, etc.
There is a guy on here who I have on Skype who runs an outsourcing company in the Philippines, and he has some good people. They have access to SEO tools and the price per week / hour is very attractive, but I have found that their training in the SEO tools is very lacking to the point that they are just an SEO VA who actually can't use the tools, and thus is not as efficient as possible.
What am I hoping to get out of this post?
- Someone who might be suitable to PM me stating their interest in working with me
- Ideas on where to find well educated and SEO-tool equipped VA's.
I just need SEO done for my local business websites, so the competition is very low - but I do want someone who is going to work when required, not slack off - someone who I can rely on. Should they provide good results and my business takes off, they can expect a healthy increase in their wage (but this is for the longer term.. )
