Yeah, you heard me right. Negative SEO is not some mistake, accident or something
Google is worried about fixing at all. Do not fool yourself! This is a carefully orchestrated
divide and conquer attack on the SEO industry. By giving birth to negative SEO you now
have IMers slaughtering IMers (doing Google's job for them) at the expense of the industry.

Do not say Negative SEO does not work because I can show you countless threads of
members coming to this very section fussing about how their website was destroyed
in a matter of no time. Not to mention top SEO experts on here like Scritty have started
petitions to try to end negative SEO once in for all and working their ass's off trying to
repair their clients sites from this vile attack.

If you care about the entire industry and hate the Big G as much as me then consider
not doing negative SEO today and do not discuss it. It should not even be an allowed
topic in my humble opinion.

This has been a carefully organized attack attempting to divide and conquer and try
its best to ruin confidence in displaying any information about your niche or methods
In a community.

Do not be mistaken.

That's all!

Negseo used to be banned here when I joined....somehow it became so common, these days it's accepted, but oficially still banned.

Interesting take on Google allowing it to go forth as a way to let SEO's self destruct. In fact if you want to destroy your competition today, all you gotta do is buy a banned link network subscription and BAM, they're gone....

I agree, if Google wants to confuse SEOs and drive them to look for alternatives (adwords), it only makes sense to allow negative SEO to work. That's why I don't have much trust in the disavow tool - it's just a smokescreen to make it seem like they're doing something and simultaneously helps them bust link networks.

Why are you discussing it?!!!! You are confirming that it works for all the newbs to see, yet you want us not to discuss it, please close this thread.

Yeah.....yeah....they had no idea until I said something. Like it has not been plastered all over the boards now
forever with replies and views out the ass. If they are just know seeing this then they are blind.

Yeah but threads like these are only adding fuel to the fire, pretty soon everyone will know and it will all be a big clusterfuck. At the same time i do see something positive coming out of this, maybe if it becomes such a big problem google will be forced to take action and stop banning people for getting spam links.

Blackhatters are essentially Pirates, sailing under their own flag.

We all know what happened to Pirates.

They all died out as we know them besides a very few in Somalia. You could say the industry
transformed into another form of crime.

As long as there is SEO there will always be Negative SEO. It's been going on since the beginning. If there is a way to rank, there is an opposite. Trying to stop it from being effective is like trying to cheat death.

Yeah, it's just like stock brokers betting and bidding on a company's failure and not it's success. Yup. There are low minded, money-grubbing b%^& ^%* everywhere.

I'm pleased that 8 out of 10 sites I rank are in niches with ZERO competition from other site owners doing SEO...

Are you aware that Scritty has been caught doing negative SEO himself?
Yes, people try negative SEO, but it only works on sites that were already spamming. I suppose if your competitors have a lot of weak backlinks you could do something to them.

Google sets the rules of the game and we can only follow them.
I see no reason to complain about negseo or how Google unfair because that doesn't change much.

Who are you really and what's with all the accusations against Scritty?

Hello Nick - how are you?

Still talking crap?

I am NOT IScritty - but then you already know that I suspect
If you want to carry on with that nonsense be my guest.
I asked Fiverr to close the account or get the owner to remove my image (copied from my website) which I believe they did.
Not sure the name could be contested as it isn't mine in the first place. Not my real name or my nick-name - but then you knew that anyway didn't you Mr Nick Kerr

Creating an account here just to do this. (as I see this is all you've done in three posts since joining)
What a sad and bitter little man you are.

:)

I am just a nooby of course but wouldn't a neg SEO war actually help solve the problem?
If there is one assault in the mall the cops do nothing, if it happens all the time they station a cop on site don't they? Why would this be different? (EDIT: Provided you shop in the right place of course, nobody cares if the mall is in the ghetto. lolz)

Right now it seems to me, as an uninformed nooby, that the small fish get pancaked. As soon as the bigger players get hit Google can't ignore the problem anymore because people get upset like OP does and will just go elsewhere. I mean, why advertise on G if they tanked your site anyways.
Could be wrong of course but it seems a better way forward than keeping your hands clean and hoping for the best. Also, the disavow tool, that I find kind of silly, is only active for a year, perhaps it gets updated in the next few months?

On a side note, I do agree with OP that it should be stopped and totally understand the anger I read in his lines. When months of work go down the drain for the wrong reasons you have a reason to get upset me thinks.
Anyways, just a thought. Feel free to ignore if it is too silly. lol

I can certainly confirm that negative SEO does work. It is scary that all it takes is $50-$100 to buy bad links and penalize the competition within a couple of months. Some people mention it may only work on new sites, but that is definitely not the case. I personally know a site that has recently been sabotaged with 2000 bad links (and the site is a 9-year old, well established site with great and original content). The site received the manual penalty for 'unnatural links.'

I admit - on other forums I used to negate the existence of negative SEO only because I knew it works. By denying the facts I foolishly thought that the bad people would not bother trying it.

I was wrong. It's high time to stop lying to ourselves. The bad people use negative SEO as a lethal weapon against their competition or against the people they simply don't like. It's high time to face the reality because it is hurting the innocent every day.

On the other hand, I don't know if it is intentional by Google or not. But I do know that unless they do something about it (not counting bad links would be a good start), their core product is in big trouble if the news hits the mainstream media at least.

Should you by chance have any site which you havn't "spammed" then please pm it to me. I'll prove you wrong while you watch it burn. You should have no problem if you are confident enough in your (false) claims?

Goggle created this nightmare by adding negative rep into their search algorithm. Until negative rep begins to seriously degrade their search results they will do nothing but point to an obvious solution: run an Adwords campaign. No more free rides from Google is their new mantra!

It's just another phase in SEO, get over it, get used to it and adapt!
6-7 years ago we could rank with keyword stuffing and brutal over-optimization, 4-5 years ago blasting with Xrumer, 2-3 years ago blasting with Scrapebox, etc... Now is the ERA of Negative-SEO but don't worry, it won't last for long.
Reason why?! Because the search results will be so awful if Google allows this for a long time, that people will switch to a new search engine. So in the meantime, just try to profit and game the algorithm how it is.
If you don't want to mess with Negative-SEO or cry when someone does that to you, then switch to churn-and-burn websites ;)
