Onsite SEO + Offsite SEO = Super Success

So, make sure that things on our sites are PERFECT before submission.

Here are some onsite SEO tips,

-->Always target pages rather than domains.

-->Don't target more than 1 keyword/page
-->Make sure that the article is atleast 600 words long, and WELL RESEARCHED(Be willing to spend some money for the article, as the new google algo update gives more preference for WELL RESEARCHED QUALITY CONTENT WITH DETAILED INDEPTH REPORTS).

-->Article Title, make it short, with the keyword ATLEAST ONCE in it.
-->Article URL must be the keyword

Like,

oursite.com/keyword1

oursite.com/keyword2
oursite.com/keyword3

-->Article MUST have atleast 2 H1 Tags, 3 H2 Tags, 3 H3 Tags which does the BEST OF THE BEST!!!

-->Keyword at the beginning of first line, and at the end of the last line!
-->An IMAGE with keyword as the ALT tag
-->Internal Linking(Anchor Text) from the page to the main page
-->If you have more than 5 pages, then link them to each other WITHOUT closing it!

P.S There are many more, but delivering them all at once will not be good.

P.P.S I've gathered all these from my experience/Books i have read over the past several months(I'm a WSO addict)

P.P.P.S These things will boost your off-page strategies efforts by 1000%. So don't leave out ON PAGE SEO!

If you like it, feel free to Press the Thanks bUTTON

The 2 H1, 3 H2, 3 H3 tags is interesting. Ive never heard that one before. With my posts I always do 1 H1, 1 H2, and 2 H3. Ill have to give it a try. To me though having 2 H1 tags seems like keyword stuffing, care to elaborate?

Where can I get images from that I can post? Most are copyright..

Um... you're questions completely unrelated to the post.... but I'm feeling generous all the same :D

what's your niche? I'll check through my somewhat extensive free use archives and direct you toward some sources for free pics :D (working towards my first from scratch site at the moment, and I've been collecting free use images for the past 2 weeks :D)

"-->An IMAGE with keyword as the ALT tag" :D

lol Never mind haha

Such amazing info. I am glad to know this. I think On-page factors are much depended for our SEO success. Such nice knowledge shared here.

Not to sound like a hater, but SEO is 80% offpage.

I see sites ranking high right now with no articles,h1,etc.Unless your onsite SEO is completely garbage, and irrelevant to your keyword, onpage tweaking isnt going to move your rank by significant amounts

Some of this stuff is really outdated which is why you have to be careful about what you read. Stick with a few real authority blogs like seomoz, etc and you'll be way better off.

1. Definitely target more than 1 keyword per page. Actually, your page should not revolve around a keyword, but around the topic of the article. Because it's an on topic article, it will likely contain a whole bunch of different phrases. Link juice to the article helps it rank equally for anything relevant Google can find in the text. It's not as if you only get to rank for one per page! That wouldn't make sense.

The page for every one of your keywords thing used to work, but it was just a form of keyword stuffing. It was a trick and the algorithm is just more sophisticated now.

2) Having a keyword as your URL is also pretty obvious keyword stuffing which used to work but now doesn't. It doesn't even apply if you abandon the stupid 1kw/page thing.

3) There's no optimal number of each different header tag. That's totally ridiculous. I guess that may be from the old practice of having your keyword appear a certain number of times in headers, a certain number of times in bold, italic, etc. If anything it was trying to get the right density of that sort of thing, not a specific number.

4) Anchor text linking to the main page isn't a good idea. It hasn't been since at least 2004 or 2005. They detect this and you'll drop significantly for the keyword you're targeting. This is actually probably their most well known penalty.

5) The keyword at the beginning and end of the article thing is another one that doesn't work anymore. It's just one of these things that's too obvious.

6) The linking 5 pages to each other but not closing it is kind of weird and was actually probably never good advice. Navigation should make sense, with the home page linking to subpages in a "flat" way. It's important to have that, but you can have other navigation, such as recent posts showing up on every page in wordpress, and you can do contextual links between pages.

There's really a theme here. These are all really, really old "tricks" we used years ago. You see, back then the algorithm was pretty simple. It was all about getting PR to your pages from any old site. From there the algo would just analyze the page to determine relevance. So to beat someone all you had to do was get a higher or the same PR and use on site SEO tricks to make your page seem really relevant for that keyword.

Now, whether your page is relevant to a certain keyword is much more dependent on what outside sites are linking to your pages and what anchor text they're using. This is why you'll occasionally see pages with no content rank, like splash pages, etc. It's a much more effective way to determine SERPs, so as soon as they were able to move away from these old on page factors, they did. In fact, most of them can easily be detected and can actually hurt your rank now.

Somewhat BS especially the part about articles they they MUST HAVE at least 300 words. OP, are you crazy? Who thought you these lies?

I think 400~500 word is enough for good article and why 1h1,2 h2,3h3 ? Isn't it looks odd in article ?

Hi entri3,

I totally agree with you.Doing off page and on page leads to the success of SEO.These both methods are building blocks of SEO.

Yes both on and off page are important, though some people prefer to use more of one than of the other.

As Google moves the goalposts, we need to adapt and try to keep ahead of their changes.

Some good info here. Thanks given for sharing. :)

r u sure about this ? need more opinions on this ?

The original list sounded like SEOpressor word for word lol. As others have said, most of these concepts are outdated and need to be refined or rethought for any major SEO improvement.

I am starting to think is on page worth spending days of work on..

By the times you've run your page through a density analyzer and compared the competition to your page, the diversity in the keyword density and positioning is that different does it really make a difference?!

As long as you use the basic outlines when writing your content e.g. including the keyword in the key elements like title, h1, image then I think your good to go.

Does anyone disagree? :06:
