How To Get Forum Threads Ranked On Google

I know bhw has many ranked high, that is how I discovered bhw, but I am wondering how they did it? I am very clueless. Is it from direct backlinks that go directly to a specific thread, like you can only rank 1 thread at a time or what? Can someone point me into the right direction?

yes, and the title of thread is a keywords, sometime long tail keywords

What happens if a make a bunch of backlinks to a direct forum url such as:

http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...6632-how-get-forum-threads-ranked-google.html

Would that rank that thread high on google?

Every thread here starts with multiple pr4 internal backlinks. Plus they place the thread title in the url which helps as well.

This thread is already in the G top 5 for "How To Get Forum Threads Ranked On Google".

Some threads also garner extensive off-site backlinks. For example:

http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/blogging/173468-exclusive-bhw-my-twisted-autoblog-method-complete-video-series.html

That thread from 3 months ago has around 30 backlinks from other sites and already has PR2.

age your domain for few years and get few thousand users to visit your site daily.

I had about 70 signups a day from YouTube, my account got banned (had really good, strong videos) Only about 1 or 2 of them ever returned again out of the 70.

There is no super secret forumlula.BHW gets threads ranked easy because it is seen by google as a very authoritative sites, meaning it can rank for low competition long tail keywords almost instantly.

Getting a thread rank is no different then getting a website ranked.The only factors you can controll on the thread however is the page title.

And of course solid backlinks would help.

important is to use desired keywords in thread title because very important for google rankings is thread title. And if in posts are many times used kewyords which you want to rank for then also it is good for SEO. And of course some good backlinks will help.

i believe these also help:
- intra-linking with "similar threads"
- the number sequence "1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10" at the bottom part of each threads
- showing "Recent Threads" on the index / home.

I don't think those small things make a big impact on it ranking this high on Google.

Dude, patience is a virtue. There is no rock solid set in stone answer. If we had it, we wouldn't be here!

You need to get links to your site, links to your main forum, links to the forum category your posts are in, links to the forum in question, and links to the thread.

Links with anchor text related to the post you are wanting to rank will definitely help. The number of replies and recent history of the thread also has some affect I believe nowadays with the Caffiene update google has done.
