What would you do with 3k?

Recently I've wanted to make some web investments. I then decided to put aside about 3 grand for this task. First I thought maybe invest/buy a proven blog, or site that makes some good cash. Then I was a little worried about getting scammed since I've never bought a site before. Then I was thinking of starting something up from scratch, but my range is limited to Wordpress.

If you had 3k to turn it into something online, what would you do with it, or recommend I do with it?

probably invest it into a couple hundred sites and ranking them, continuing and expanding what's working and stop what isn't.
 
extrawinner's keyword service + black hole SEO is what im trying. only about 130 tho not 3k. you could do the same + have someone design the site + pay someone to add content that'd get u up to maybe 500......maybe try some industry and trend analysis and develop a ebook related to some trends? you could get professional copy and ebook made for about that probably, something decent then sell it
 
I'd build 5 websites with it. 100 posts per site ($3/post) and the rest for SEO service. AMR will be fine.
Then you can sell them after few months for at least $10k.
I speak from my own experience. One website, 50 posts $200/month with adsense after 4 months. Can sell at least for $2k on flippa.

I'm thinking of doing something similar to this. I've heard health niches are the best to do, but it seems like there would be a lot of competition in that. Should I try and look for a field with less competition?
 
Create 30 sites of a popular niche and will rank them in search engines using bh seo...

I'd say if you are going to build up your own adsense site, or a network of them, don't buy sites , because they'll cost you about 10x the monthly earnings if you buy them for cheap, some tend to go for much more than 10x, there are a bunch of services on BHW for micro niche sites, first try 1 or few more and do SEO on them and try to rank them for the main keyword, and then build a bunch more, and whenever you are in need of cash you can just easily sell them on Flippa.com for 10-18x the monthly income, or you can become a site flipper, make micro niche sites, rank them no.1 so they earn wait a month or so and sell them (a month so you can prove your monthly earnings), you can make a steady income.
And you can sell services to the buyers of your sites, services such as SEO , web hosting, etc.

Don't be afraid of heath niche. Health is a HUGE niche and there are many micro, medium niche for you to put your foot in. Aim for micro-authority site. At the 100 posts level, most of the time you are considered as authority (if you have good content and good backlink). Then you can rank quite easily for the keywords in that niche. My recommendation is go for small kws (long tail) first to build the authority then you can compete the bigger ones.

I agree, I've run few health / fitness sites before, there are tons of keywords that are easy to rank, use TrafficTravis/Market Samurai for keywords analsyses, and use Google Adwords Keyword Tool to find keywords.
