Hello BHW brothers (and sisters). I have a site I've been working on for about the past 6 months. It's in the entertainment niche, specifically movie streaming. It gets around 6000 visits per day now and seems to be growing rapidly.

I've been dreaming of having a way to make money online passively, but as soon as I hit my first goal of getting thousands of visitors per day, I soon found out that it STILL takes alot of work and effort to make money.

I work a dead end job 12 hours a day every day (I don't even get a day off anymore like I used to). It's a family owned business, so it's hard for me to just up and quit. I have no time to find a method to make money with this site so I figure I'd just sell it for a chunk and start saving up more for my own offline business.

I did the hard work for the next owner, and like I said before it gets ALOT of unique visitors daily. It easily pays for it's own hosting, but not for a full time income.

Please let me know if you are interested in this.

Regards,
Thizz

So what do you want for it?I guess pm me the price if you will not post it here.

I know one way you can monetize it, content locking.

search for stuckads

or

Content lock pro in this forum if you u want a self hosted solution.

6000 visitors a day, if you convert 10% (low) = 600 a day

1 dollar each conversion = $600/day

sounds good? you can make $1000/day with this site easily.

you welcome ;D

I just tried the Leadbolt content locker as a test (because it was easy to implement). I've got 320 clicks so far and 0 conversions in about 1 hour.

I'll let you know if it does any good. Thanks for the tip :).

I don't know what to appraise it for, I'd rather take offers and go from there. Thanks for your interest.

More about the site:

It's main source of traffic is organic SE visits and it's about 6 months old with about 25,000 backlinks. Everything is automated. As soon as a movie is released, it automatically adds posts with pics and links to the movie.

Leadbolts sucks

the normal content locking gateways sucks because no one want to fill surveys, the thing is 1st page submit offers.

How you do it?

Stuckads is a new gateway that work with those offers and you can use content lock pro and add any offers you want aka zip/email submits

Sounds like a plan. I'll check it out now. I know that CLP cost 97$, is there a temporary solution I can use until I know it would work? At this time, I'm getting NO conversions at all from Leadbolt, so in reality, it really does suck. >_>

I know it's gonna hit more than 7000 visitors today, it's only half the day and it's already almost there.

Here's a screenie of some stats:

I'm going to pass on this based on a few different factors... this is probably better for someone other than me.

Good luck with it, OP.

Update, almost hit 10k yesterday.

Had to buy a VPS due to sudden growth. Here's a screenie:

pm me more details, I have a few ideas for monetizing such sites...

Don't just give up yet and move towards your own offline business!

You are already doing that, with your family business and you know the time requirement and effort involved in it

You've already passed the hard part, getting traffic. Now experiment with monetizing it before just throwing in the towel. Many users would die for this kinda traffic, so why give up now?

Honestly though, reconsider going towards an offline business.

Here's your own words:

I've been dreaming of having a way to make money online passively, but as soon as I hit my first goal of getting thousands of visitors per day, I soon found out that it STILL takes alot of work and effort to make money.

You think that the offline business is gonna be easier to manage and run? Passive income via offline businesses is hard when you aren't an investor. Where as passive income online is a cinch in the long run.

Never give up this early. Success is about getting back up when you've been knocked down.

Why don't promote your offline business in the website?

I really hope this sale works out for you, it'd be a shame if someone didn't give more than we talked about over PMs with it.

For a movie site, that's a horrible amount of time your visitors are spending on your site. If anyone's going to buy this site, make sure you see a report of where the traffic is coming from.

I don't even know if a content locker would work on that site. His visitors aren't clicking through many pages nor staying on his site too long.

Yes but you have to understand my site works like this. People visit, find the links in the post and go to another site. So they are still looking for the movie, not just visiting and leaving.
