Panda 3.3

looks like it hit a few of my sites. They fell off the first page.

poop

I didn't even notice any panda updates since the sept update, but that's also the time I switched over to quality over quantity. I always ask myself before I post something if this is in the best interest of the reader. This lead me to reduce daily content updates to weekly as I am able to provide much higher quality content + higher quality promotions.

Switch over to quality and you won't even know a panda update is in progress. But this is probably bad advice seeing as this is a BH forum :P

I did notice my keywords moved around a bit though, some went up by a few pos. some went down a few.

This is interesting....
"Google says it's getting rid of a link evaluation signal that it's been using for years."

Time to keep track or a closer eye of what link types you are using and keep a eye out

Perhaps its referring to the PR of the domain/page your link is coming from.

Yea this Panda update in a sense doesn't bother me as I have been posting quality posts, however I'm curious as to what signal they are no longer going to follow.

Same, just have to keep building links and see what's working and what's not.

i knew they did something this past week..hmm.. maybe they are relying less on PR and more on the age of a backlink.. i see them being more and more link bings algo

More accurate detection of official pages.

Oh I miss the old days when my thin affiliate sites were ranking higher than the brand/trademarks themselves...

We often use characteristics of links to help us figure out the topic of a linked page.

I think it has something to do with them not relying on anchor text anymore

perhaps the title tag of the link. I know some people were having success ranking low competition pages using title tag on image/generic keywords back to money site.

Thanks Google for turning cute and cuddly Panda into one of the most hated words on the internet.

Thanks, the Google link is eye opening, and a reminder things will continue to change.

This update is weird, non of my sites were affected but all my unique content web 2.0 sites that were ranking on page 1 are no where to be found. My web 2.0's got pandalized lol. They were all subdomains of high PR web 2.0 sites.
