How do you guys market your adult sites? Suggestions for my sites please

Do traditional LinkWheel/LinkPyramid's work for adult sites? I've been doing a mixtures of scrapebox/profile blasts along with some link exchanges with other adult directories but I was wondering if you guys have tried building web 2.0 structures for adult sites. I heard somewhere that you have to rely more on link exchanges and whatnot with adult sites but I don't know if there's any truth to that so I wanted to see what you guys had to say so I don't waste my time. I've searched on the forum but haven't found much info on this (If information has already been posted, let me know thanks). I'm stuck on bottom of page 1-page 3 for 50 different keywords which is bringing me steady traffic but I want more! I've analyzed my competitors backlinks and they get a lot of backlinks through link exchanges so that's what I've been doing but it get's pretty tedious so I'd be interested in any other innovative ideas.

You could try posting on forums and submitting watermarked videos to tube sites.

Also I don't see a reason why the normal linkbuilding methods wouldn't work on adults sites, but I haven't really tested this yet myself.

This i'm not sure but correct me if I'm wrong adult sites and web 2.0's do not work because they get deleted fast. I would try adult social bookmarks I saw thread onhere somewhere with someone offering services. Twitter and Facebook as well.

yes that's the main problem I run into (sites getting deleted fast). Most seo services on here don't even want to market this site either. I've thought about posting on forums... the videos aren't working too well I've tried that creating videos with pinnacle. I've tried Twitter and Facebook to drive traffic but it's been hit or miss. Looks like I'm stuck doing manual link trades with other sites I suppose. Maybe getting a bunch of self hosted blogs on separate ip's too I dunno.

"Traditional" pyramid building via web 2.0 won't work because, as another poster said, the web 2.0 sites (and many others) either won't let you post adult terms or will delete them immediately.
Thinking outside the box is pretty much the only way to approach it - unless you want to stick to what you've been doing and just do more of it. The problem is, for the really competitive terms, the big companies have tens of thousands to spend just on buying backlinks. Hard to compete with that...

Yeah, indeed. An "escort" can have more meanings, other than the one your site is made for. You could perhaps write about escorts accompanying someone to dinner and that's it, no mention of what comes after. Try to be softer and not make it blatantly obvious and I think it should work.

There's a possiblity to make "escort" stick - but the implication I drew was that he wanted to rank more than just for the word "escort" - if that's all he's shooting for then there's a chance that some of the web 2.0 stuff would stick.

Yeah I'm just trying to rank for "cityname" + escorts. But I want to try multiple cities. I'm already on page one for a few cities but I want to get up there for the county names too which is where I think there's more big time $$. I was thinking of writing some web 2.0's and writing about either escorting to dinner as the poster above mentioned or possibly writing some articles about craigslist/backpage and the affect on the escort industry blah blah blah. I'll try that out and let you know how it works. As long as I don't use keywords like "cum on tits" it might work.

Then good luck ...it's not just keywords like that, if you have "sex" in the title, a lot of the web 2.0's will dump you. It's discouraging to say the least lol...but it sounds like you have a fighting chance. Maybe try writing about the "good old days" when escorting a woman around the town was a hot date?

Normal link building methods work just fine.. Think about any other adult site? Do they outrank you? Yes.. Mirror link there back links and use exactly what there using, also, start an erotic blog and. Mention your site in it, use the same content from the that blog, and release to the top 5 article sites... Besides that, tube, tube, tube, sexy videos are lays being watched, and rank well
