PR Web is worth the money IMHO. One of my product start-ups got featured on International Yahoo News site due to them. Its surely worth the money.

No doubt it is for certain sites but I was just looking for another option that was a bit cheaper and can be used as a default solution.

I use wiredprnews.com. $25 for an SEO release. I just did one this week and got in google news, NY Daily news, Channel 2 in new york, etc. I usually do 1 or a couple with them, and then the rest with prlog.

I just put a PR out today on prlog announcing an alien visitation to one of my sites. you can PR anything you want, its great.

"MEDIA ALERT: *****.com Announces Site Blessed By Space Cows Accompanied By Reptilian Escort

*****.com announces a visitation by space cows accompanied by Reptilian escorts. The space cows visited the music videos website to conduct a blessing ceremony."

wiredpenews.com looks great, any one got experience in getting the word out to techcrunch.com and mashable.com and being covered on them?

To get featured on a great blog you would be best served to follow the authors via social media and try to get them to write about your cow/alien invasion.

Twitter is great for this. Mashable has its own social media platform, so that is a given.
