I just noticed that one of my competitors got a follow link from YT. It appears under the author name, where the Videos, About, and Instagram buttons are shown

Right after those buttons, there are two extra images. They contain JavaScript bit.ly links that redirect users to the competitor’s /discount/ page.

How is it possible to get?

They likely added it through the links section in the channel banner/description on Yt, then used a bit.ly redirect, which makes the link appear as a clickable icon next to the channel buttons.

That’s usually done via YT chanel description or external link feature plus some sneaky URL shorteners, some ppl hide it in custom buttons or cards, but normal ppl can’t just put JS there, probably they used a tool or exploit
