I never hear anyone talk about Yahoo! Is anyone having any success with Yahoo? Post your story here.

If you're talking about Yahoo Marketing (PPC) then yes I have had some success. I started with about $100 in coupons and used highly targeted ppc campaigns (I'm talking niches with about 5,000 to 10,000 search engine results) and made some good money.

Yahoo Search Engine marketing proved fruitful to me in targeting the group of people who are interested in freebies, ringtones, cash giveaways etc.

YSM and YPN is the same thing I guess.

Back to the topic, I am currently testing out a few offers with them ($100 free credit). First account got me 3 leads that made me some cash, but then I realised my mistakes and launched another campaign recently, fingers crossed :D

Hey I'm signing up for YSM account right now with the $100 credit. On average, how long does it take them to apply the credit to your account?

They will basically take 24 - 48 hours to get the credits to your account. Click the "Administration" button and on the right side of your screen you will see the current available balance. At first it will be $30 but later after they credit the bonus you will see full $130 in it.

Goodluck on your adventure :)

Thanks.....just now getting a chance to sign up for them. Heres a nice tip. If you go to CJ, you can join the yahoo search marketing affiliate program. You get 15 dollars for each sign up. What you can do is combine the coupon codes to allow you to get both the 100 credit from yahoo and the 15 dollar commission from CJ. That way, you are really only paying 15 dollars after funding your account 30 dollars cause you get the 15 dollar right back.

There is a big difference between YPN and YSM. They are complementary programs but very much different from each other. YPN = Yahoo Publisher Network, they allow you to put ads on your site from advertisers they find for you (it all happens automatically) and you make money when someone clicks on those ads, same as with Adsense. YSM is Yahoo Search Marketing - basically the same thing as Adwords, you spend money for your ad to show up on Yahoo! search results page and the YPN network.

So how is the YPN as opposed to google ads? - ignore this, only availible for US anyways!

It's hard to get accepted by the CJ Yahoo Search Marketing affiliate program. Only for USA. :(
