[YouTube] Would you change the Channel?

Hey,

i bought some months ago a youtube channel (gaming niche indonesia). It has 23k Subs. Now i want to change the Channel in a other Niche and other language. I already uploaded 3 videos which got some views ofc. But now i am loosing subs and some videos get 1-2 dislikes from (i think subs who only speaking indonasia).

Would you still upload more videos or would you change to a brand new youtube channel?

Changing the language and niche should be a good way if you want your subscribers to unsubscribe or become inactive.

so you just would go ahead in uploading videos and get new subscribers or? do you think that youtube give me a "disadvantage" when loosing subs? maybe bad ranking?

If the channel isn't making you any money then rebrand it and upload the new videos.

You will lose subs no doubt but you won't lose all and you will gain new.

23k subs is pointless if your not making money mate.

You could make a video telling your subscribes that you are rebranding and changing niche, that way you'll get less dislikes on new videos from subscribers who are surprised to see new videos not related to the content they originally subbed to see.

People rebrand all the time, YouTube won't punish you for it.

ok thanks for helping, maybe the number of subs get more subs to me because they "trust" the channel. So i will continue to upload on this channel, thanks

Hello, just continue uploading your new content, not all of them will unsubscribe because all of them actually get notifications. If your video is good, the right audience will begin to subscribe for you.

rebrand the channel it will help you gain new subscribers. If you are not making money then those 23k subscribers is pointless.
