So i've been a YouTuber for 5 years. Yea 5 years.

I've tried so much to be successful but i always fail to sustain growth. My main gaming channel has 28K+ Subs and my second one has 2.7K subs.

I wanna ask you what i am missing to be successful, i think there is something missing or the other YouTubers have a secret or they did something so they "'made" it.

In terms of content, mine is 90% the highest quality possible.
Everything is checked and at highest quality:
Facecam
Good English and not boring to watch
Recording 1080p 60fps
Video idea
Video Thumbnails BEST i've seen really i love mine
Video Edits
SEO optimized at the max
Clickbait title (if needed)

When every video drops, i share it on reddit, discord and FB grps that are concerned by the video.

All of that and the video dies in like one day, gets a 100-200 views and that's it. some rank after a while but nothing game changing. YT just hates me and doesn't suggest any of my videos

It's been like this for a lot of years i can't take it anymore, each video takes 4 hours to be fully published and i get nothing in return for it, only few cents cuz i am monetized.

Is there anything i am missing ? i thought of boosting by SMM panel but it is a very bad idea.

I think YouTube has something more, there is an extra offvideo step people do to rank or to grow, like idk get a promotion or run google ads or idk what magic they do...

Any help would be appreciated

IT kinds of depends but I would agree Youtube does sometimes kind of hate people.

You could pay someone to give you a shoutout which should in theory grow your channel subs or traffic

You could attach some backlinks to your videos to boost their rankings as well

If you are sure your tags, titles and quality all good and other Youtube factors good enough then don't do anything there for now.

I don't think paying an influencer or a page to shoutout me would matter a lot, few people in would not pump the channel as i want. YouTube has to suggest my videos somehow but it never does that. With my SEO skills i got some videos ranked on keywords but that's the only reason i am surviving and not the main goal. Cause some video ideas can't get ranked and bring views from the search bar only, some videos has to be suggested by YT if they wanna do well.

Sometimes is very hard to accept the truth.

Let's say that I know my niche very well and I've done one of the best videos ever in that niche. But results are bad.

Then I go steal and edit competitor video and viola, bumming. Point is: follow what works, and if you can't mimic it, copy it.

I suggest you to start faceless gaming channel with highlights of your niche.
Give it a try, and use SMM services once you have few videos uploaded to boost only one video, that is already organically doing well, so you can get monetized.

With boost I mean buy watch hours and some subscribers if needed.

You can also use your existing channels to promote your new, even promise some gifts for subs, so you can reach 1k only quickly.

i don't thinking starting from scratch is an option for me now, i really don't wanna give up on this dream or goal just because YT hates me

Try to leverage the shorts feature
Use clickbait titles related to your game and see the algo picks it up

Try to avoid game hacks and rank what other rank understanding machine learning.

My channel is kinda in general gaming, like i want the channel's content to be like markiplier, Hollow point,...
i made content about strategy games for like 2 months i build a small community but this is getting nowhere big as how big i wanna be, the community can't get bigger since the niche is small

Algorithms aren't in your favor in this niche. Try something else.

Yeah, it can be stressful after so many years...

What games do you play, let me start by asking this question?

Also, (I believe you have, just asking) do you have Twitter/Instagram, etc, are you active there?

Getting big in gaming is hard but also, one viral video that happens in the next few hours can make you famous.

Have you ever advertise your channel?

YouTube hates nobody, but has algo that calculates so precise who to push.

You have 1 niche and 10.000 creators in the niche, uploading daily, weekly.

Add at least more 5000 people who are doing, uploading something in that niche, possibly short term channels that will die later.

YouTube has to decide who to push, and why they even decide who to push? Because YouTube earns more money as a company if they push the right creator.

You are constantly creating the same or related videos that algo finds bad for audience = YouTube earns less money, and they don't want to earn less money lol.

That's the whole story, you must accept it's your fault. I am just trying to help you realize this.

Otherwise, you can stay on the same road for more 5 years and earn pennies.

When you don't know things, you copy from others, either building from scratch while copying every step of their video, or editing their video into a new one.

It depends of the niche, and some other things, but still, you won't success with your logic and attitude. It's mine opinion only, maybe am wrong, but hard..

The factors that you've listed are pretty impressive TBH

While it seems like you're 95% there, you might want to consider paying close attention to the comments that you get.

At the end of the day, your channel should evolve based on how viewers behave.

Pay close attention to your analytics.

Which videos of yours get the most videos?

Which videos have the highest retention?

Using these two clues, you should be able to identify video topics that your community is most interested in.

Pay close attention to what your most popular video has to offer.

Try to reverse-engineer it and come up with better versions.

Do you get an improvement in the number of views using this technique?

At the end of the day, you should be paying attention to what your viewers do.

People lie with their words all day, every day, but it’s very hard for them to lie with their actions.

Pay close attention to your analytics.

Look at the videos that are “most successful” in your channel—this should be all the information you need to level up.

I know that it isn't easy, nor is it a black and white answer, but different channels are successful for a variety of reasons.

You're going to have to find your own unique reason for success.

And, ultimately, it all boils down to your viewers’ habits.

Alright guys thanks for all your replies. I will link you my gaming channel here so you can take a look. Filter by most popular and check out the videos that grew my channel.

It started with the Thug Life compilations, i was the pioneer of this idea and now it has been taken by YouTube channels way back and now they are the successful while i am rotting cuz i gave up on the idea and wanted to do something more interesting than thug life clips. I won't blame myself for that cuz i was 15-16 years old and i was just a kid having fun, i had no vision and no experience and had to deal with an insane life at college and school.

Look at these channels and how far they made it, it should have been me instead. Life changing butterfly effect Channel1 channel2

Anyways i'm way older now and looking at my channel it is really bad, as i said i tried going a community with RTS games but it think it is going nowhere.

I'm thinking of remastering the older videos or maybe even go back to the compilations that grew my channel, maybe the algo would boost me since i was a one of the first who uploaded that niche? or it don't matter?

I got 3 ideas in mind:
1- Continue with the latest community i got (RTS games: AOM/AOE) Cons: Very low audience, won't be big as i want.
2- Start something new that i don't know what, maybe go full clickbait and bullshit videos just to get some views
3- Go back to Thug Life compilations

Audit my channel guys and if you could recommend any survival kit or a strategy, you could save my channel cuz at this point i have 0 ideas on what to do.

You need to do something completely unique that has never been done before.

If you try to be like markiplier or anyone else, you will fail.

For example; try gaming in your bathroom while sitting on the toilet and every time you get killed you have to get up and dunk your head it the toilet and flush. You can call it something like: Every time I die in Warzone I'll flush my head in the toilet. Now that's unqiue.

Just had a look at your channel. I think your most recent video "5000 ninjas vs pirates" is a good idea for a video but you could improve the title and thumbnail.

Title: 5000 Pirates VS 5000 Ninjas! Who Will Win?! "I think the "who will win" title would generate more clicks than the "insane war" ending. ("the insane war" is already implied while "who will win" asks them a question that they will want to watch to find out.)

Also, I don't think there's any reason to put a screenshot of yourself in the thumbnail. It doesn't add value. You could add some text to the thumbnail that says "Who will win?" instead of to title.

It's all about clickbait.

Thanks for the interest. i have like a ton of ideas like this video and in my opinion i see them doing very well, but i think even if i improved the SEO, how will the video get suggested by the algo since nobody is watching it? the 100 views i got on that video 54% came from External source, my sharings on reddit and FB. The channel is completely dead again for the 6th time probably. It pumps for a while and gets dumped hard after, just like a shitcoin.

I think your best bet is to start some other games. Most successful gaming youtubers are always playing the new hyped game. Why? Because that's what the majority of people want to watch. Keep your series going because of the existing audience. But branch out to difference games that you think would be successful in growing your channel. Also, with branching it you'll be able to collab with youtubers who do similar content. Collabs and networking are essential. Most people don't blow up only from themselves. Your network is your networth.

I would play any trendy game right now but there is nothing trendy to start with, all the good games already have their Youtubers, fortnite, warzone,... my best best is Age of Empires 4 and Battlefield 2024. 100% on my list but those are in October

I think what is wrong is that you are playing with non-popular games and I think strategic games tend to be logical and requires attention and conscious effort people wants to engage their emotions and relax especially in games niche, maybe changing the type of games you play can help to improve the level of entertainment of your videos
