Im sure everyone has noticed that for certain keywords google has youtube videos on page one. Does google rank these youtube videos based on things such as bookmarks or is it more along the line of views in youtube?

It's not just YouTube, it's several major Tube sites. Seems to be a combination of views, ratings, and backlinks.

Also, having the keyword in title, description, and tags really helps.

From what I've observed, it's about 75% age of the video and the rest is backlinks, ratings, views, favorites, etc.

I disagree... I get new videos to the top of Google all the time. Get 5 or 6 good backlinks and views, rating, favorite, comments and subscribers. Comments seem to be the most important if you want google.

Comments is the same as having fresh content added to your video page. So if your boosting 100 comments all at the same time it's not really gonna help with results in Google. Now if you have 100 comments that is posted on your page with say 5 to 10 new comments each day, you will notice that works better and looks more natural.

I've noticed a lot of people on youtube are boosting their videos the wrong way. They will rate, comments, etc, a video on the first day hundreds and even a thousand of times, then they leave it alone and never boost it again.

You get better results if you boost a video for a couple of weeks and make it look as if it's going viral. Then youtube user's take it over by continuing the process completely natural. They will rate, subscribe and comment all on their own. Google will then take notice and you will move up in the search results , at the same time you should be pinging and backlinking your video to get page rank.
