    Hey partypeople,

I always wanted to grow a youtube channel and three days ago I finally created one.
Plan is to upload some music from popular artists (EDM / house) and monetize them with amazon, drive traffic to a blog which is monetized with adsense and also upload music from newcomers which will also have adsense ads on it.
Any other ideas how to monetize them by the way?

But lets come to the main problem: The edm/house music niche is extremely overcrowded on youtube.
What would you do to get views and subscribers and survive in that niche?

    Thanks!

My advice is chose another niche to go into, it makes a really huge difference, the best decision I made this year was dropping my 1st choice of niche and going into another less populated niche

Widen your targeting and scale. You have a good plan now scale it. Multilingual? Use articles to target related and sub niches?

I don't really do it for the money. I like that niche. It's more kind of a fun project.

Any other advices on establishing a music brand in a dominated niche?

Just a question... If you know its an overcrowded niche why choose it on the first place? why not another similar genre? because you already know its going to be very difficult to take advantage of an already overpopulated niche m8 even if you try the hardest to be the best its probably not going to work and honestly music channels on youtube are beginning to lose steam i noticed that a few months ago

Go for a sub niche with the genre. I have a sub niche youtube channel in the Techno music scene and its one of the most popular, nearly reaching 1 milllion views on the channel.

I wouldnt bother going after the mainstream stuff. Pick something smaller and start curating good music and posting it (make sure you have the rights to do so)
