YouTube Just Ended Trending

I guess it is to stop the algorithm promoting content that didn't truly reflect the interests of its users. Maybe its to enhance personal experience.

I see a big flaw in trending system it just always comeup with serial trailers, soap drama trailers, movie trailers than content from creators

That's because tons of youtube creators just follow the band wagon of a trending video, and then it turns out to be repetitive spammy content, I think youtube doesn't want to turn its platform like Tiktok..

Yeah, I saw that too. YouTube removing the Trending tab is probably a move to push more personalized or subscription-based content.

Just another change in how platforms are shaping content visibility.

Never used that, if you didn't mention I wouldn't even notice that they removed it

honestly didn’t use it much, so not a big deal for me.

but kinda sucks for smaller creators, trending was one of the few spots they could get discovered without the algorithm picking favorites.

So now is there any use of using the hashtag 'trending' ? :p
Honestly, “#trending” doesn’t really move the needle anymore. Too many people spam it, so it lost its punch. You’ll get way better reach if you use hashtags that actually fit your niche and have active communities behind them.

It was a hit or miss before. Never used it since so I'm not sure how accurate it really was to the specific user's interests or that if it doesn't at all, then it was a sort of non-feature. That or it got glaringly obvious it was only used by people who gamed the system and stopped bringing up potentially interesting things to said user. Anyway, it will not be missed.
