Welcome ladies and gentlemen to my YT journey thread.
Backstory
I'm 29years old, working student with a passion for IM.
Right now, earning about 650eur a month with my current job. As you may have guessed, I was not born in a native English speaking country, so it is what it is. My current schedule is a 24h work shift and then 72hours off. In those 72h I go to classes and study or do whatever. I will finish school at the end of this year so there will be more time to hustle. Don't have any plans to utilize my degree. Currently saved up ~19k (15k will be invested in the near future), have my own apartment, and a decent car (for those wondering, my parents did help me out with cash, love you guys). If I rent out my current apartment, I could raise my income to ~800eur a month, which is an option, as I could go live with my parents, but only after my studies are done. (traveling/time costs are too much).
What has been done so far
Right now I own 6 channels with a total of ~450k views. Started at the end of March 2020, started gaining some traffic at the end of June.
I'm using the music/claiming method. Made my own song and now all the claiming stuff is being managed by Amuse.
I have decent internet and some video editing skills. Also, my PC is decent so I can pump out a good amount of videos every month.
Have earned ~15usd so far, but the next month should bring me ~50eur, and the month after that ~60-70eur. Will see. With that money, my initial investment will be repaid.
Sorry, but not gonna disclose what kind of content I'm uploading.
My goal?
I want to quit my current job. The pay is really not that good and the job is kinda dangerous so I need to make more money to sustain myself and my GF.
My short term goal (within 1-2 years) is to start earning ~700eur/month from Youtube. That would bring my total to ~1400eur with my current job. Decent enough to sustain 2 people in my country.
In 5 years I would love to earn 2-3k solely from YT. With that cash, I would be willing to quit my current job.
My long term goal is to save 150k within 10years. With that, I can buy 3-4 good apartments and rent them out. With the monthly cash flow, I could semi-retire.
My dream is to buy an apartment on the same street where I study. It is a really beautiful place but the apartment costs in that area are ~150-200k for a 2-3room apartment. And it is not that great of an investment but still, a man has to dream.
What's next?
Need to open more channels. Have done some research on proxies. My current channels have some long term survivability content, however, I need to put some high-risk stuff on other channels thus I cannot allow YT to connect all the accounts. If one will get terminated others may follow. Need to diversify but in a smart way.
Adsense is kinda crap with the claiming method. Need some t-shirt designs made and start promoting them. Some of my channels IMHO are well designed for selling merch. My GF is in graphics design so I'm in luck. Affiliate marketing with Amazon should also be an option.
Need to create one more song and go with a different management company because Amuse is asking too much for a 1year content ID subscription. There are cheaper companies out there.
I will post an update every month. Stay tuned.
