I've recently come to the realization that YouTube traffic is probably the highest converting I've ever had. I used to do mass uploading, and with the right tweaks, you can make a lot of money without much competition. What I'll be doing now will be a mixture of quality and quantity - making a shit ton of HQ videos, ranking them on top, and KEEPING my stuff on top.

    I will do the following:
    1.
Find money making niches and keywords and create high quality videos for them. With all the content on YouTube, low quality doesn't cut it - I'd be wasting time
    2. Create a couple of multi-category sites and use subdomains for LPs. Getting a .com for each niche will be too much work and investment so I'll be doing things this way instead.
    3. Try and rank one to two videos per keyword. I will be using SerpBook to see how the actions I'll be taking will affect the ranks of the videos. This will give me valuable insight on the best and cheapest ways to rank videos, as well as teach me the types of niches I should stay away from. I want to have this optimized as much as possible, and after a while I want to be able to tell which keyword I'll be able to rank for and how, just by looking at the top results.
    4. Once I've found the most profitable niches - I will have a few videos for each and repeat the ranking process, only this time I will be doing mass uploading and it will all be automated. The goal here will be to setup campaigns that will only take a few clicks to upload well-optimized high quality videos, without setting off any spam filters - then ranking them with as little effort as possible. Bots and scripts may be used if they're needed as part of the ranking process. I've had a fair amount of $300+ days in the past by doing this.
    5. Eventually, I also want to grow a couple of YouTube channels, but more on that later on.

While doing all this, I have to remember not to overspend and test things in the cheapest way possible, until I'm getting a decent ROI. I also want to start a blog to track the whole process on and share some of things I'll be doing on there.

I know this journey can succeed because I've done most of this before. If I don't make it to at least a somewhat stable $300/day I will be extremely disappointed in myself. I'm one of those IMers who've made huge amounts in short periods of time, then stopped working hard enough because I thought it would last forever. I've also spent a lot of time and money on ranking Amazon affiliate sites that ended up making a total of $20, as well as starting "digital marketing agency" type sites (which every kid who's seen a Tai Lopez video seems to be starting for some reason - thank fuck I stopped before I got to the point of changing my Skype avatar to myself in a suit and putting CEO as my occupation on Facebook).

Although I've blown most of the money I've made so far, I don't regret it because I've learnt a lot through this process of ups and downs and I now know what NOT to do. Once I've saved a fair amount of cash, I want to invest most of it in things I'll enjoy working on, such as brothels and strip clubs.

Apart from starting to take my work more seriously, I will be working on creating new habits and demolishing the ones which don't match the version of myself I want to become. For starters, I'm cutting out most of my alcohol consumption (this was the first New Year's Eve I've spent sober in years, and still had a blast), and will try to deprogram my brain from the need of entertainment. Working should be enough of a dopamine hit and I don't see myself become successful until it becomes that, so I plan to take actions which will make that happen.

    Let's begin :)

This sounds like a really good plan. YouTube monetisation is underrated. I wish you luck.

    Thanks for the support!

Camtasia and Vegas. Nothing too fancy as I don't want to waste time but they'll be good enough to get the job done.

Well we're yet to see, aren't we?

Yes I'm sure YouTube is dead. I also have no interest in doing AdSense.

Anyway, today I found a video which was part of a mass upload blast I did a few months ago. I added 5k views and some likes then and didn't think much about it. Today I found it ranking #7 for a term which has over 50k monthly searches on Google. It's a major health niche. The video itself isn't too good, but the title, description etc were optimized quite well.

I will play around with this video, and mostly experiment with the title and description to see how it will affect ranking. I'm looking to find what a good keyword density percentage is and how length of the title and description will affect the rank of the video.

Once I get good enough data on that, the plan will be to find the best views/likes/comments ratio in order for my videos to get as high up as possible.

I'm now looking to find a cheap views provider since QQtube won't cut it in the long term - they are a little too expensive which can make a fair difference in the ROI. I'll be using like exchange networks for likes and my iMacros scripts for custom comments later on - although this will require me to buy more accounts and proxies.

Today I'm using my aged YouTube accounts to upload a few videos I already have which have been proven to convert well. They're mostly high paying CPA offers and I found some potentially good new keywords for these so I'll be adding views, likes etc to try and get them ranked and see how it goes.

Also starting my blog today where I will be sharing more info about what I'm doing. That seems like something I'd enjoy doing in the long term and will keep me treating IM more seriously so pretty excited to be starting it.

So, I've been playing around with quite a few videos for a while. Facing a couple of major concerns that I'll need to overcome in the following period.
For example, I had a video rank well after adding 10k HR views, 200 likes and 20 comments. The ranks looked like this:

I included the Google MS jus for reference. I added some drip feed HR views and likes, hoping it would at least keep these ranks, or perhaps improve. Instead, this is what the current YouTube positions look like:

Facing a similar problem with a couple of other videos, including older ones. Some of them have pretty stable ranks, but they just won't improve no matter how many views/likes I add. Gonna play with comments a lot more, but I don't wanna pay for them so just gonna use an iMacros script with proxies to add custom comments to a few of the videos and see what happens.

Another important thing that I wanted to test myself was the unlisted method. I went ahead and added 10k HR views and the same amount of likes/comments for pretty much the same niche as the video above. After 48 hours, I made the video public, and it got ranking immediately:

Only to have them go to shit 40 minutes later:

So, any type of unlisting/making videos public doesn't do jack shit anymore and if anything, only hurts ranks long term. However, good news is that the keywords I was trying to rank for were rather hard. I did pretty much make my money back a lead I got, so at least that's good. I will next try to do some more in-depth keyword research and try to go for the low hanging fruit. Keeping the videos on top is crucial in the long run, so that's what I'll be trying to do next, for keywords that are a lot harder.

Anyway, other than YouTube, I did write my first blog post yesterday. I'm still a final year university student, so been dealing with and a sinus infection most of this month. Working harder and harder though :)
