    Hey

Dont mind the n00b question -

I am interested in getting a few youtube videos ranked at the top of the youtube SERP for that keyword. The top two are ranking very well in the organic g00gle SERP for the same keyword (goal is to take the spot).

Correct me if i'm wrong, but comments, views, rating - this doesnt effect the youtube ranking? Just keyword, title, tags?

I dont care about being in Top Ranking, Most Discussed, etc. JUST swiping the high placement of the video at G00gle

Thanks in advance for any feedback and advice.

Comments, Views and Ratings - Of course they effect in the YouTube SERP, a lot.

Comments, Views and Ratings DO affect Youtube raitings, of course.

As regards your Google SERPs, comments do add unique related content. I don't know how much views and YT raitings directly affect google SERPS. I'm inclined to say that not much if at all, but with recent google-YT affairs, anything's possible. The thing with views and ratings is that along with them usually come backlinks - unless they were BH generated, that is - .

If you want your video to rank well in google, get good links from outside and inside - read about this part - YT as much as you can, and optimize your page - and channel even - well also ( don't forget to add a long KW optimized description ). Treat all your YT assets as you would with your own site.

And don't forget that your vids may get into google serps besides the usual 2 "video results" if they're properly optimized and backlinked.
