Okay, I`m on this forum for like a couple of months, for those who don`t know I`m 16 years old making videos on YouTube learned a lot about YouTube in the last months.

STILL ! I can`t understand one thing. the front page video. I`m talking about that page that pops up when you go to w w w . youtube.com and you see that video on the right side of the screen.

Now, I saw a couple of weeks ago a video that had only 900 views and like 120+ likes and I was wondering HOW? how is that possible I mean for example Ray William Johnson he gets 18k+ likes in just one hour. Or like other big YouTubers.

I just wanna know how the system works how is it possible that for a video that has 1000+ 2000+ etc views to get on the front page of youtube. I did everything perfect, put a catchy title put the title in the description, good and relevant keywords. I even posted for a couple of videos the URL on some good blogs and websites and that bringed me a couple hundred views.
I also have good content. Music covers that got a lot of good feedback and something similar to RWJ show equals 3.

    I AM a Partner btw.

Hmmm I wasn't aware that there was actually a true frontpage anymore? Or is it just me with the terrible plain white homepage with subscription uploads and suggested videos? :S

View retention for front page, but you need to be logged out in order to see it. Every video in common for front page has the highest view retention for the niche and keyword they selected. It is just that simple.
