Whatever edit we make, YouTube still spot them and remove videos "instantly" after upload.
Considering that, how these guys are able to upload videos like this? I could see tons of videos like this & I dont think they get permission from each and every artist to publish these videos. Moreover, its not worth spending thousands for each artist to get re-publish permission. In addition to it, some of these guys are even enabling monetization in videos. Forget the ads, but how do even possible to upload these videos?

I used to be able to do this by dropping the pitch of the song by a whole note in Audacity. Not sure if it still works, but the videos uploaded fine back a year or 2 ago

Changing the pitch isnt working atleast since when I was trying from 2016.

Some artists allow use of the songs but will split the revenue. I didn't watch the video, but if it's a review of snippets of songs, they might also make a case for fair use.

Rendering the videos is the best way but its not easy like before

Hey guys, so I'm a music producer and over the past 8 years or so I've worked with releases on Sony, Kobalt Publishing, Universal and others. What I have to say about using music is just contact the artists. I get messages all the time with people asking if they can use my material in videos, and I always give permission. The main reason I do is because how alot of labels have things setup now is that ya you can use the music but you won't be able to monetize without full permission from the label that you can provide to YouTube. But distribution networks for the labels automatically see when someone uses one of the songs and doesn't let you monetize but will still put ads on your videos that will automatically collect royalties for the song.
I have noticed that sometimes videos will just get taken down or muted and in that case the label who owns that song is just being an asshole.

But ya just reach out to the artist or label and ask permission and you should be good :)

Every label has an email address for commercial use. Every artist had one as well. I'm not saying everything artist and label will get back to you the same day but usually they will within a week or so and let you know if you can use the song
Or use free music, just check SoundCloud for free downloads

For the most part ya, chances are for certain remixes and originals you won't have worries, example if someone uploads a Justin Bieber remix to SoundCloud and doesn't get stopped you'll be fine, or just message their SoundCloud page and ask if it's cool if it's an original and you're worried

What about if i use youtube's free audio library? I know i can monetize tracks from there, but wont it come as spamming or abusing their free music?

That idk a lot about, I'm not a big YouTube guy haha I wish I was I suck at it, but I'm sure the free stuff should be fine :)

Some MCNs have licenses to allow their channels to use songs.
