Hellooo ! Sorry for my English, I'm a French girl :)

I've heard that, using a proxy with Youtube, we have also to clear Cookies and Cach.

But I also heard that we have to clear FLASH cookies or something (I don't retrieve the thread concerning it)

- So, in the first place, is CCleaner good to clear cookies and cach ?

- Also, for you what is the best way/software to clear FLASH Cookies ?

- And lastly (yes yes, this is the last question :p ), do I need to clean/do something else in order to
become totally untraceable by Youtube ?

Thanks !

Eva

I've just looked at CCleaner and I don't see any "Flash Cookies" terms.

Maybe it is named another way ?

ccleaner gets rid of flash cookies as well as normal cookies. No need to worry about them if you use the program.

ccleaner is good i also use window washers it is great as well

I don't understand why you guys use a tool for everything.. how can you make much money if ur so lazy??

I just make batch files.

btw, the location of the flash cookie dir on XP - which NOONE mentioned

C:\Documents and Settings\XXXXXXXXXXX\Application Data\Macromedia\Flash Player\#SharedObjects\YYYYYYYYY\

YYYYYYYY is a random code which regenerates upon deleting the folder and visiting a flash-based website,

XXXXXXXX is your user name.

To prevent website (include Youtube) writes down the Flash cookies, go to
hxxp://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager03.html
Se to None, and uncheck every option, then go to
hxxp://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager07.html
Again, set NONE, and Delete all website.
Good luck.
(You may have some small problems with other website that uses Flash, so you may disable only google and youtube)

theres also a firefox addon for this, that deletes the flash cookies and even the normal cookies every time you shut down firefox, this is very handy. because some websites you have to allow cookies

hope this makes sense,

its called betterprivacy
