Hi guys, I've tried out a few of the noob methods for a little while here and made some money. I was interested in getting into this whole youtube mess. I'm wondering what your conversion rates are like when you are doing a CPA offer of some sort (free iphone, email/zip submits, ringtones, etc). I know it always varies and depends on the video and offer, but on average how many views does it take on a video before it converts when the offer requires minimal input (short form or whatnot). I did a search but couldn't really find any clear answers, so I'd like to hear your experiences.

Oh, and I've tried marketing clickbank products in the past on youtube but it didn't go well because i've realized that clickbank is fishy these days and selling through youtube is hard to do. this cpa thing is a little new to me, and i've heard it converts better. that's why i ask.

Well I'm iframing and referrer spoofing them and am averaging 1:6, which is fine with me.

There are really 2 stats you need to know. First, how many of your views click to your site. Then, of those clicks how many convert once they hit the CPA offer.

It's important to do this, so you know what is working with your videos and what isn't.

If your viewers aren't clicking over to your site, that means you aren't doing enough to get their attention and make them click. If they are clikcing and your offer is not converting, well that means your offer sucks or isn't targeted correctly.

Conversions per VIEW are typically very low, but like I said, simply going by that stat doesn't tell you the whole story.

I've been using YouTube +CPA and Clickbank for well over 2 years now, way before some of the threads here were ever posted. So I've been around the block a bit.

Typically conversion rates will be pretty low. Especially if your offer isn't highly targeted. Personally, I don't believe random people online when they throw out 15 or 20% conversion rates on YouTube and tell everyone how easy it is. I know from experience it's nothing more than a numbers game and often those touting high conversion rates are only doing so to sell an ebook or service.
