Hello guys, after watching this forum for a while and inspired by @wengthemeng I decided to make a fresh yt channel, watchmojo style.

At the beggining since I have 0 budget, 0 experience and not a lot of free time, the plan is to upload a video per week. All the work, including the east-european english voiceover, will be done by myself.

The format:
10 mins informative videos, lists and tops mostly, with my personal touch on naration and added text.

The 2020 milestones:
[X] Create channel+logo+banner - done on 7.09.2020
[] Upload first video - target 10.09.2020
[] Enable monetization - target end of 2020

Since I'm still learning things, I don't know yet what to expect in terms of income, for now I'll just make and upload as much content as I can.

My biggest concern is regarding copyright issues. Youtube polices are kinda shady on this matter. Since my videos will be focused on compiling and editing re-used content, for now most of the sources I use are common creative or royalty-free. Can I use better content and put credits in my videos? I see that's what watchmojo is doing and I doubt they ask permission for everything they use.

nice, good luck with your journey dude

Goodluck on the copyright strikes with this kind of niche. Hoping for your success!

Good luck, dude. I'm on a similar journey but within a different niche. As a piece of advice, just go with monetized channels if possible.

All the best mate :)

Good luck to you too. Since it's in experimental phase, I don't wanna loose money on paying for a monetized channel just to be taken down afterwards. Will see how this plays and will consider it later.

if your channel is not monetized.. don't go for one 10 min video per week.. do Two 5 min video per week

Nice journey will be following! Just a quick tip Youtube change the eligibility threshold for videos to have mid-roll ads and has been reduced from 10 to 8 minutes.
So you don't need to make a 10 minutes long video to have mid-roll ads. Good luck on your journey!

All the best on your journey.
Keep us updated! Good luck
Interested in your journey.. Good luck!

best of luck to you man!!! SUPER glad i inspired you!!

Here are a few tips:
1) Start with a monetized channel if possible. The idea is that if a video goes viral, you want to make sure you have ads on that video already.
2) As far as copyright goes; pull clips from YouTube but refrain from using audio. Visual clips should never be longer than 6-8 seconds though. ALWAYS add commentary.
3) Work on possibly doing the videos yourself and finding a way to gain capital to hire out the work in order to scale and see results faster as well.

Watch mojo isa GREAT example, you can learn a lot from them.

are you using multiple adsense accounts? for different channels

Thank you so much for the tips, much welcomed.

Hi, are you use smm panel for this journey?
Not at the moment, will do my own social media promoting for now.

At the moment its only 1 channel, if I decide to buy already monetized and scale up things will research what is better thing to do (1 acc/channel or 1 acc for all channels).

The first video is almost done, had some setbacks due to lack of time but its gona be up today. Besides having to deal with my own voice Im pretty happy with the result. Will update as soon as I have some relevant stats.
