I have been wanting to start a YT channel for longer than I can imagine, don't get me wrong I have made a few such as a GTA channel but quickly started to dislike due to the fact that it did not feel like I was creating proper content. I would not blame this on the content itself but due to the fact I was just creating humorous GTA videos just like the other ten million people doing it.

I have done a lot of research into creating a successful channel (Using VidiQ to find prime keywords and tags, and potentially buying HR views just to get the ball rolling and then going completely legit) and once I do find a good concept that I enjoy fully I will apply all of my research and give it my best shot to make something from it.

However I am struggling to find an idea/conecpt which is unique and will gain attention. I am up for creating just about any type of content, ranging from gaming, pranks and vlogging to news, sports or trending informational videos.

What do you guys suggest that I do?
    Whats my plan of action?

    EVERY COMMENT IS ACCEPTED.
    THANK YOU IN ADVANCE :)

The daily vlog is a very nice idea if you can do it and produce content everyday. Good luck

    Thank you for the reply.

I wish I could be a successful YouTube creator by doing daily vlogging but I have several issues with that as of now.
    These are:
    - Right now I'm living a normal to boring life, nothing crazy or worth watching.
    - No one is going to watch an absolute stranger that just popped out of no where now doing vlogs when they cannot provide anything interesting.

If I was well-known with YT as a full time job then I would be able to do more exciting and wild things which would attract views but that is a dream for now.

the most youtuber start as absolute newbies.. give it a try, if you find your niche and make great content / videos, people will follow and join your channel constantly..

be prepared to work for it, nowadays everything needs a good strategy and marketing / masterplan to grow big fast, anything beside that needs time

    Thank you for your comment.
My main objective right now is to just find my niche, something I'll enjoy doing and is unique (not something you seen on youtube everyday).
Once I do, believe me I will be working extremely hard.

there's a thread with niches which gain a lot of public attention, take free ride with the search function, go for it, don't give up

    Sounds like fun.
Then again I’m sort of in the same situation with vlogging as stated above. If time and money was not a thing something like this would be awesome but unfortunately it is. Unless I’m getting the wrong idea of what you mean by adventure, please correct me if I’m wrong.

IMHO, most YouTubers fail because they attempt to use a niche they have no interest in, when that happens the videos look fake and forced.

I would suggest you write down everything that interests you, start by analyzing your liked pages on Facebook, FB groups, YouTube channels you've subscribed to, anything you have bookmarked and read.

Once you find something work out how you can take that interest and put a unique spin on it, the issue is most people have used the usual approach, so you need to stand out.

I think the most easiest videos to create are commentaries to other videos. Then you can benefit from their names in your video titles + you don't have to produce own content. Just film yourself while watching others videos and give a commentary here and there.

Choose a specific topic, think about how to brand yourself in an unique way.

That is some really really great advice, I’m going to have to do some digging around as I don’t use Facebook and only subscribed to vloggers pretty much and vlogging is not ideal for people beginning YouTube.

I’ll mostly just take some time to think what I would like to see on YouTube myself and my true interests.

    Thank you mr cracker

    That’s quite smart honestly.

Once I do start I’ll try that in combination with my own content so I can ease up the work load.

    Thanks

I would stay away from saturated reaction videos for two reasons:

    1. They are WAY over used now.
    2. You will get copyright complaints from owners.

For sure that would happen. What I meant I would do is once I build a following ask for users to submit clips or similar sort of thing something unique and base a video of those.

    Thanks for the heads up

You would be self reliant on people to help you grow, I would advice against that frankly. As the channel owner it's on you to be creative and make content, people won't be interested in sending you in clips/videos, it does not work that way. You need to be realistic about this if you want to make it big, 99.9% fail for good reason and that's due to: shit content, lack of ideas, takes up to much time, unoriginal content etc. Like I said before research what YOU have a GENUINE interest in and put a twist on that, yes, you can make reaction videos if you want to be part of the sheep that already do so, but trust me you will get a lot of stick for it and will feel bad for it.

The only problem is how to make videos that are not boring, something fresh, entertaining, intriguing.
And how to do it regularly.
    Predictable = boring.
So the best way is to make videos about fresh trending topics, do it faster than others (react faster) and add your own unpredictable twists.
Keep your eyes on new trends.
