What does that mean? Like I basically gave up on a Youtube channel I've been working on. And suddenly over the last week I'm noticing my revenue + RPM going up and up and up.

But why does that happen? Just means advertisers are paying more or something? Nothings really changed with my videos or content because I stopped uploading videos a while back. Haven't been getting anymore traffic. (atleast not much)

Check your analytics for any other potential changes - engagement etc.

Perhaps your videos just got popular and got shared somewhere?

Are you saying that engagement and other stats increasing can increase RPM?

It also depends on country specific. Like here in India the Republic day sale is on so Amazon and other ecommerce stores are heavily advertising on Youtube ads.

Well to some degree yes, but that would be reducing it too much. There are a multitude of other factors. But in a nutshell a more engaged channel (I don't mean through black hat) will have higher rpm

Takes a while for some of my stats to update from Youtube analytics, and starting to get some additional information.

I got a notification from them saying one of my videos had a sudden boost in watch time due to becoming suggested for other videos.

So that's kind of cool :D am seeing a bit of a traffic increase, but for the most part it's my RPM that's changed so much.

My impresion RPM was like as low as .30 before, but now it's crazily high. Like yesterday it shows as 2.65. So getting some decent money :D

Still kind of confusing why that would make a big difference, but I'm thinking its because most of my traffic is coming from suggested now instead of reddit, and maybe most people on reddit use adblocker maybe.. I dunno haha

You got a message on dashboard or you mean through traffic sources?

For sure % of monetised views makes a difference as advertisers would rather be on a channel with a higher % of monetised views as it gives them more constant exposure + demographic is also important. Also you have a good point there, the algorithm has been changed to favour channels which keep users on its website. Therefore, despite all the tier 1/2 reddit arguments they want users who can keep people on their site.

I have an app on my phone called youtube studio or just "studio" and have been getting messages from there AND inside my dashboard when logging in nornally on PC. They both seem to show about the increased watch time but I forget which one exactly told me about the suggested views.

Yeah I know what you mean the Youtube Creator Studio, it's a great app. Yeah I get the increased watch time too but haven't gotten the thing about suggested views. It's interesting that they would specifically point out that the suggested views has increased watch time. Any signs of increased social signals?
