Hi, I'm having trouble with the data being shown by Youtube for an advert I ran on their platform. I used a UTM and the advert shows it generated 2946 website clicks. Google Analytics only shows 109 sessions though. Do you know why this happens? I have also ran they same advert from my Google ads account and it has 11,209 views but doesn't show any conversion data.

We used to do affiliates programs in Youtube, they count a "click" when someone interacts with your ad, while analytics counts a "session" which requires the page to fully load and the tracking code to execute. So it could be a main reason for your mentioned discrepancy.

For example, sometimes users might click but close the page before it fully loads and Youtube counts it as a click. Or many users have ad blockers that prevent analytics tracking. And clicks from non-human sources don't generate real sessions.

It's normal for different analytics systems to show different data
they have different patterns of user interaction with advertising, don't compare them, but try to understand the specifics of each one

YouTube Ads and Google Analytics track data differently. YouTube Ads focuses on ad interactions, while Google Analytics tracks user behavior on your site. Are you seeing a major difference in clicks vs. sessions
