I just read about someone doing this in the description of their salespage. I thought this was banned by Google.

I mean putting your hoplink into the adwords URL so when someone clicks your google ad they are taken directly to the affiliate salespage with your affiliate link. That's illegal, right?

    Hi,

You are right, you cannot use any 'Hop' link in adwords 'Destination URL'. If you do so that in few hrs your ads will stop with the error "Inaccurate Display URL". Now you displya URL needs to be as of destination URL.

    Thanks.

Huge noob here... is a "doorway" page just a redirect? Or is it something else?

Second question: wouldn't this be an expensive strategy? Let's say you're promoting something that supposedly converts well, like Fap-Turbo (lol forex robots). Alright, I think it's like $97 or something and you get like a $75 commission.

But forex keywords are expensive as hell. They're like $10-20 per click. So you'd have to have a 1 in 5 conversion rate in order to make money with that strategy, right? That doesn't seem doable.

get a cheap keyword related domain name and put up a pre-sell or review page - you'll convert better than direct linking. if you don't want to write it, just use the articles/reviews/emails they give you in the affiliate tools section for content.

if that's too much for you, do the above on a free blog. here's an example free affiliate blog i made this way:
    h**p://videosubmitwizardblog(dot)wordpress(dot)com

just used their given email series with some very slight tweaks as posts and added some graphics for appeal.

to promote on adwords, use a service like offto(dot)net or tinyurl(dot)com with the product name or something descriptive as a custom nickname, and use that as your display url.

drop the www and make it look appealing like: OffTo(dot)net/Forex-Winners or TinyUrl(dot)com/Forex-Winners

... you can even try to capture email addresses on your page/blog and follow up until they buy or unsubscribe.

    good luck!
