I wonder what sort of message CEO Sam's voice conveys? That of a CEO maybe? :p

Voice almost never gave me an impression. Talk to enough people and you will hear every variation of voice tone, and a bunch you never knew existed or was possible.

From all those voices, and experiencing all those different people, I have not once had a correlation between expertise and voice...Though it is fairly easy to tell how someone behaves and possibly what they believe if you combine the way they speak with other social cues like mannerisms, dress, interests, personality, etc. Voice on the phone can be rather deceptive.

That being said; syntax, word pronunciation, quantity of industry jargon, and simplification which demonstrates mastery, have always made an impact on me.

If you can choose the right words, add a bit of knowledgeable flair while retaining enough vernacular to convey that you understand what you're talking about beyond keywords, thus allowing you to explain and simplify the issue at hand which makes me comfortable and you confident, all the while pronouncing the words in an attractive/slightly unique/educated manner while not behaving like an arrogant asshat, and you will have my attention.
