Hey what's up everyone? I've been a musician for about thirteen years now. I play both acoustic guitar and piano, as well as drums somewhat. I'm currently trying to advance myself in both YouTube and FaceBook. I'm posting one of the videos I JUST uploaded, because I want to get your thoughts on it. I would really appreciate that you give your honest feedback. I know I don't have the greatest voice at the moment, but I'm getting there you know?

I just did this cover in TWENTY MINUTES. It's simply an intro, I just wanted you guys to hear my actual voice instead of how I sound in a rap song. I'm not trying to get exposure off of you guys, I'm trying to get true criticism, and so far you guys have been AMAZING at giving it. I'm blessed to be a part of BHW.

I think you're really opening yourself up for some "feedback" posting this here.

I don't have my speakers plugged in though, so good luck!

Mate never listen to what i say, i'm always joking around, just never take me serious!
On another note....

Don't quit your day job :)

If all I get is negative feedback, then that's at least going to tell me what I need to improve on. I know not to take some of the hatters' criticism seriously, and I do know when others are being sincere. :)

Do what you have to do. Asking others for approval will get you no where in life especially people not affiliated with the music business. If music is what you want to do then find a way and follow your bliss!

I'm going to be brutally honest with you. As I give you respect for actually trying, it's not good. You seem talented playing the guitar, but I'm not a musician.

As far as the vocals, WORK on them. Take some lessons.

I am actually in the office with my partner, and he said the exact same thing, but gave you props for trying.

Not trying to make you feel bad, just being honest.

Definitely do not quit your day job. Yet.

I absolutely appreciate your feedback. You definitely don't have to apologize to me. :P I'm still getting use to how everything's going to come out on a microphone, so it's really not the best.

I'm working with a mixer to touch my voice up on some things, he's just not always on, so it's kind of hard to get rolling sometimes.

Practice, practice, practice.

Maybe look into setting up your own home studio with some of the cost effective tools that are available and work on your own mixing?

You can get a lot of the equipment you'd need cheap via wholesale, ebay, etc.

That's definitely part of the reason that my voice isn't that great. I'm playing in a pretty open room, but I also don't have much of a choice. None of my songs are edited either. (Besides the Someone Like You cover by Adele, and I'm even sick right now and when I recorded that).

I'll definitely make sure I try and switch up my voice style a bit. I don't think I'm quite matching it like I'm trying to, so trying something a little new should help.
