Pros/cons? Is it worth using? I need alternatives to google adwords.
Adcenter is great but since it's teamed up with Yahoo you just have to make sure to not have your ads shown on syndicated partners websites. From my experience, Yahoo partner platforms have terrible traffic. I just use Yahoo and Bing search engines and stay away from syndicated partners but the content network can bring good conversions also.
Another thing, Adcenter has a pretty high CPC on keywords that have little to no competition at all, to me that's a downside if their was one.
I agree with rannybo. I was hoping for way cheaper clicks or at least lots of traffic.
None of the above so far.
Without cheaper clicks I don't see it as a go, unless you find a specific niche it works for
Guess I'll have to stick with Yahoo then.
They are on the same advertising platform now. You can't pick and choose.
There has to be a difference though. Adcenter is really bad. I've just read through countless complaints via their forum. I doubt Yahoo is like that, even if they "merged", otherwise Yahoo would be a bust as well.
Nope, you can still do media buys on their website and on other sites through them but for conventional PPC you have to do it through Adcenter.
PPC in my opinion is a waste of money.
If you want to really spend some money and get traffic, then go with media buys.
You can either place a high converting banner on specific publisher sites, or do a ppv / cpv (pay per view, cost per view) campaign.
Bad idea , the ROI sucked when I did it , I really hate their traffic ! Adwords shockingly brings out a much better ROI even though the cost is more . I say go into PPV if you cant make it work with adwords . However there are a few gold mines in adcenter you'll just have to explore a little more .
