Gives more branding options, I like it. Time to adapt.

I'd really like to see how they rank. Nothing is going to beat the TLD's.. I was looking at the entire list they are wanting to implement, looks more like a link directory hierarchy than anything. Would be nice to see things more organized, however its just a way for ICANN to rev up the revenue.. I'm not putting any stock in it.

To me, this is just candy for buying a cool looking domain that may not mean much in the SEO world. That's not a problem though, could only be trouble when there are 30 different versions of the same domain.

There have been many criticizing comments about the new tld's however nobody is really mentioning that the success of them will be driven by the users and the content they put on them. If there are decent sites put up, then they will do well, and will easily outrank .com's if the content is decent. As google already confirmed, they don't put much weight on a tld.

The reason .info done so badly was that they were $.99 a pop, so people just spammed them with shite.

hopefully supply outstrips demand, and overall domain prices will fall.
