Your SUCCESS with Auto-Blogs?!

I have a question to all those who have ever made an autoblog- what are your experience so far?
I mean On avarage how big traffic you can get from such an autoblog using the best plugins and making the content a bit unique with these plugins..?

I have 6 old sites (~5-10months old) who have some backlinks and some pagerank 1-4 and like 5-10visitors per day which I want to re-make in something else and decided to give a try to autoblogs , So the question is how much traffic I would be able to get ( only aprox. ) from each of such an site If I re-make it in an autoblog with 2-3new blog posts daily, Optimize it for SEO, install the plugins what makes it somehow a bit unique and do some daily linkbuilding (~5 high pr backlinks per day ) ? -I'm asking only to those who have have experience with this and How much you think I would be able to get about?

I don't know about plugins that supposedly make your content unique. I haven't ever used one. There's the kind that automatically replaces words in your posts with other words and make your content completely unreadable. I don't see why visitors would spend more then 10 seconds on your site with content like that. The other kind replaces letters with numbers or symbols which still appear readable to the viewer, but appear as gobbily-gook to google, which I would imagine seriously hurt your rankings.

I run social-auto-poster 3.9 (cracked) on my blogs which seems to do a nice job submitting to social websites, and seems to get a decent number of people viewing my blogs alone.

It takes less then 1min per article/ just to read it through and edit it if there is something wrong in grammar for it. but as I have tested with few content ''unique makers'' then they aren't that bad..

UAW and Caffeinated Content are The best plugins for content. And WriteAgain! by Suraj (a member here) is also sweet to make the content unique.

As far as traffic, and how fast ... With the right plugins you WILL get quality traffic the Very next day. All of my blogs get more than 20 uniques the first day, then 30-40 then snowballs.
Just take one day off of everything else and read everything on here about autoblogs.

I have like Seen all the threads made about auto-blogging ,-I know how it works and what to do and so on... Just I'm asking If I have already some small websites what already have some rankings (for sure they should get a bit more traffic then just newly registered domain) how much they could get In like a month with this content and daily constant link building and promoting a bit?

hmm i might get started in auto blogs i tried it before but i was unsuccessfull . What i did was host a wordpress blog and write articles everyday with links to adsense. I tried to write 5 new fresh articles everyday so that they are unique with adsense ads then post these blogs to sies to get them indexed. But after a couple of weeks i made around $10 and gave up. But i see a lot of people seem to be making a lot of money from autoblogs so i might read up on this forum about autoblogs and start that again.

I was wondering can someone please post or pm me some good autoblog post in this forum that will help me do well for autoblog. By the way how much are most of you making from autoblogs

Chukster- I'm sure with earnings there shouldn't been a problem since you can re-make your theme so that you get some crazy clickrate like 20% in high paying niche- that's a whole fortune!

Anyone could comment on this regarding some kind of real numbers?

I think to success with auto , real numbers sites is about 10 or highter coz one autoblog make few money a day than only you make site by hand....Sorry for my bad English ..Lol

the blog need to be promote such as backlinking, social bookmarking ...or just leave it there without promoting it..just one to know...autoblog is interesting money machine

If you have few high traffic blogs and a lot small traffic ones then it really doest metters cos earnings are about the same!

I recently set up two blogs- one semi autoblog and one autoblog. These being new blogs have zero PR.

The traffic shot up after I set the autoblogs to google hot trends. Depending on the number of posts these blogs get per day from the feeds, the traffic can vary from150 to 800 uniques for the semi auto blog and around 20 to 40 for the autoblog.

Monetary wise, both blogs bring in very low adsense because they are not niches but rather google trends are basically news and people based items. I think it is the wordpress themes ( revolution ) that did not have the best layout for high adsense CTR- so that will need to be tested to see whether this will be true after I do some adjustements to the adsense layout. The semi autoblog has bought in some income from amazon sales - but not much. Generally, I think the income potential from autoblogs will vary a lot depending on :

1. niche potential selected
2. whether income coming from adsense, affiliate income, clickbank etc
3. traffic

I'm adding in newer sections to these autoblogs with more popular niches like weight loss and amazon store to see whether income can increase somewhat.

What's your semi-auto ?You feed auto and edit by hand?

Yeah actually what you mean with that semi-auto?

Yes, semi auto means I have to plug in the top 10 keyword phrases of the google trends into the feeds and the blog is then automatically blogged with the content it draws from the feeds. The editing is kept to a bare minimum, and normally might be to add some relevant tags. The wp-o matic plugin draws the excerpts but there's the link to the full content item if readers want to read everything.

My problem with auto-blogs has always been coming up with a good strategy for building backlinks to them that wouldn't take up a lot of my time or cost a lot of cash.

I have a WP plugin I created which auto creates original postings as mashups from a keyword list for me, which is nice because I can just use Google's keyword tool, type in my primary keyword and get 200 related and LSI keywords to use for my plugin's list. The plugin will create a post from each keyword on a daily/hourly/whatever-I-want basis, and then once it reaches the end of the keyword list start over again so it's completely "set it and forget it forever".

I've used it on some blogs I did manual link building for and they are ranking well, so I know its effective and that SE's like the content. Now its just a matter of developing a good system for link building that isn't just social bookmarking and is highly automated.

That's going to be a big focus for me in early 2009.

AdSense and similar work okay on the blogs I'm already using my plugin with, but I tried CPA's on one and they kicked ass, so I think that's the main route I'll be going down the road.

Sorry I'm not able to share "actual numbers" yet since I haven't done this on a large scale to this point, but hopefully my thoughts and limited experiences are helpful or inspire ideas for someone else.

Your wp plugin sounds awesome. Are there any similar plugins available for public download that can do the work of yours? I understand RSS Magician can do some of these things in a similar fashion, only that it isn't a wp plugin, too bad.

dascore, not that I know of, that's why I created this one.

I mean, its really just pulling RSS feeds like other RSS2WP plugins do, but instead of each RSS element being a single post on my blog the way those plugins usually work, my plugin grabs the extract highlights from about a dozen different RSS feeds (articles, news, videos, Y! Answers, FriendFeed, etc.) based on the keyword to create each single blog posting with as a mashup. That way my posts are full of content but aren't hit with any dup. content filters or flags.

its all about the niche- how sought out after it is, and how saturated the market is ... no one can give you a estimated amount of traffic because its always differnt based on subject, content you have, how you promote etc.

my advice- dont worry what other people get for traffic..try it out yourself and see for youself what you can get if its not as much as you were hoping for re-work and try again until you achieve it.

i just suggest you dont make it completely auto with crappy content or highly duplicated content to keep it indexed in search engines and you should do fine with normal seo promotions/tactics and should be able to achieve whatever goal you want as far as traffic.
