Okay I'll start off by saying that the cause was fantastic, I hope they raise hundreds of millions of dollars. But I have to say that despite the fact that I pretty much grew up listening to the majority of the acts (I'm 56) and enjoy what few younger artists were on there, this was for the most part, a YAWNER of a concert. Springsteen couldn't have been less arousing to open it up. Jesus the Jew I love him but LIGHTEN THE FUCK UP SOMETIMES.
Paul McCartney??? Holy shit he is so not relevant at this point it's pathetic.
I won't babble on and on but does anyone agree that they should have had some RELEVANT artists? Or maybe they just figured it's the baby boomers who have the money and a kid who listens to Rihanna or Pit Bull won't donate money.

McCartney for sure one of the greatest songwriters of all time...

But in his hey day he was hardly popular as he loved himself so much, so how folks go to a gig to see him in 2012 is beyond me!

As songwriter fair enough as a live act he is a douche...

I saw it and IMHO it was great. The artists contributed their
time and talent to a worthy cause. Therefore, I have no heavy,
detailed critique to offer. If it helped the victims of Hurricane
Sandy, ultimately that is all that matters.

    Cheers! - "Wiz"

I LOVED it! Then again, Bruce is the love of my life, so... They raised money for the victims of Sandy, and that's all that really matters.

I think the acts they chose were for the demographic of consumers who would donate to the sandy victims or who actually had money to donate, So the act's itself were right on the money.

I can't imagine 2 chains, A$ap Rocky and drake would have made a bunch of 13-30 year older donate any money, sure the show would have had good ratings but the object was to speak to a crowd of people who were more mature so that's why the acts were kinda blah.

I agree. But what idiot decided that Kanye West should be included with that lineup of legends?
