    * When I realized the extent of what is involved with manual spinning articles.
    * The first day proxies I was using decided to quit absolutely
    * When I deleted all my client data (found back-up 3 weeks later)
    * The first day every server I was hosting a site on was either a scam, or was under ddos until they expired. Never recovered data.
    * The first time a JV partner bailed with my funds
    * The first time an affiliate network didn't pay out until I massaged their reputation the wrong way.
    * When my client got another SEO provider who put 9000 links in a day, destroying their site, and I reported it to them and they accused me of negative SEO
(...when they hired another provider...and I proved it was him through the footprints...)

    + More I'm sure.

^ All these are pretty equal.

First few years were a horror, then I came here in 09 and thankfully I haven't failed miserably again...yet.

I still await the day I'm going to delete everything I've ever done. There aren't enough backup copies in the world I tell you.

Status Update: Poor Boy's Still Standing

Seriously though...2009-middle of 2010 was kind of dark...

2008 is where I made horrible mistakes.

2005-2007 I was just learning a lot and didn't take action, though I could have and should have.

If there is one thing I can tell you: Start publishing as soon as you can. Don't like your work? Shut up, publish it and learn from it. You WILL thank yourself.

My most frustrating IM moment is for sure April 24th of this year.
We all know what happened back then...

I was for the first time earning like $x.xxx per month with affiliate marketing and made some steady income and then BUM April 24th happened like a huge slap into my face.

I'm still not recovered since that day (mentally), I have sold most of my websites and after almost 6+months I'm thinking of starting again but have no will to do so...

    Thank you for asking.

First was day when place I had like 700 adult blogs attacked by hackers and it looked for few days that all those blogs are gone. It was xmas btw..so I had really great xmas.
Second lasted for quite long time when I realized that adult is no longer way since people dont buy porn anymore somewhere in the beginning of 2010.
Third it was april 24 2012, finally after two bad years I finally started to make some money and then over night everything went to shii.
Fourth was this september when it looked like no matter what I do I will never succeed with any method.
Hope there are not such moments for me in IM in the future...

Right now actually. Just started to do IM, drove in 600 unique visitors, and still smack myself for no sales.

    Oh, and I lost $19 :D

Oh right, the penalty updates that didn't hit me. I completely forgot about Panda and Penguin. Honestly. I just don't care. G loves me.

In light of your post, don't you think your signature is a bad reminder of mistakes?

Automation was an unfaithful lover to you. Make her jealous with your new Latina girlfriend, Manuela; she wears smaller shoes, leaves a smaller footprint. so sexy...That is, until you're ready to go back to your first love and do things right this time.

ROTFLMAO I guess it's time to move on... Right now I'm looking (on my favorite dating site BHW) for few new Latino girlfriends with smaller (khm) shoes to help me out pass my first love with big (khm) shoes... LOL I'll have to work much harder to satisfy Lations, but they won't be unfaithful to me... And first love... Well she will not be forgotten when the right time comes... :p

Manuela rides a high horse and wants me to spend $$$$ on her every month.
But you know what? I've found a way...
Automation has a lot of money and she's willing to give me that if I don't do her anything wrong... I get money from her and spend it to keep Manuela happy.
I love them both... sexy bitches!

When the jerk, older guy I was working with cut me out of OUR business....which nets £190k/year. Would be more if I was still there - he knows little about the internet or computers. I have no doubt to this day he is clueless.

I was 19, and stupid. Didn't sign any contracts and so on. This was 7 years ago. After 2 years of drinking myself almost to death I bounced back (as Alan Partridge would say)

Take it as a lesson. Sign contracts, be legitimate. And yes, I have vowed to take revenge before my life expires. My revenge will be success (and possibly a court case I know I will not win)

Yeah, I will NEVER forget my first IM frustration.

I was looking for products in Clickbank to promote and I saw someone in my country was a vendor. He was selling examination papers. Seeing some hope and feeling psyched, I immediately create a blog that persuades readers about the product and did a redirect link to their salespage. Tested the hoplink and such and it was working. I remember clearly his payment processor was clickbank as the checkout page redirects to them, .etc.
The very next moment, I started creating flyers with my url address and such. I went to the photocopy shop and printed like about 500 papers. It cost me a total of $20. I was poor then and $20 is really a lot, believe it or not.

One of my good friend accompanied me and we went around pasting the flyers.
First day was fun... you know, just pasting it around. I was feeling very excited and hopeful.
Unfortunately, when I pasted the flyers in area A and went to area B... and then when I went back to area A to check out.. some fuckers tore them away and even the cleaners removed them. No biggy, I just pasted new ones.

Next day, I checked my stats... about 100 visits but NO sale. I was skeptical but kept going. I went around solo this time to paste the flyers. Several days later, more visits but still NO sale. I became suspicious and check if my hoplink was correct and it was.
So I went to the vendor's site and here's the fuck up truth... that fucker coincidentally stopped using Clickbank as his payment processor and started accepting paypal instead. Worststill, he is still finding affiliates to promote his fuck up product!!!

I was feeling really down and frustrated. But oh well, I just laugh it off and went on.

Second frustration was when I built salesage for a product to sell in Clickbank for the first time as a vendor. But as you know, my english isn't that good so I went to BHW looking for people to help me 're-correct' all my grammar mistakes and such. Some guy told me he is willing to do it for $20 but I was skeptical and ignored them. Then this guy claim his english was excellent and we started discussing. Feeling he's a good guy, I agreed to hire him. He told me his fees was US$250. During that time, I was still new to IM and such so I just paid.

$250 was really alot during that time because I just started out IM and my income was only like $10-20 per day. Sometimes $0 per day.

When he delivered the product, he didn't write anything new but just add commas and such and correcting my grammars. At first I felt like wtf but oh well, at least it is more persuasive as it seems to be written from an American. So I started a thread in BHW's CB section and asked for their opinion on my salespage. Everyone said the grammar needs to be improved -.-
So yeah, basically I paid for nothing.

Lesson: Always hire/buy services from BST section. Hiring people outside the BST is okay, but know the risk, market rates, and quality. Also, treat IM as a game... sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. Don't treat it seriously.

Every time I compete against writers who advertise "quality contents" (poor English, poor grammar, poor spelling, no language/tone, no user engagement, etc.) for so cheap that clients won't even consider true quality anymore. I die a little inside.
