    I also use CL and Backpage bots occasionally but the conversions suck.

    In the recent days of the google monopoly we should focus on non search engine traffic. Relying on one traffic source (search engine traffic) is very risky.

    Another source I use

    *Ebay - classifieds ads to drive traffic

    * Gumtree Classifieds

    ## Added to master list above.

    Offline marketing still targets the majority of consumers. Some studies show that 27% of the world's population shop online, and other studies have it at 30%. Offline marketing is still the majority.

    eBay is good, though the best ROI we have had is through a door to door leaflet delivery service. (This is in the UK)

    Disqus can be good for traffic as there are some very high traffic sites using it. My difficulty has been in finding suitable products to target my audience with. You have to match the site very well.

    To the OP, I see you have 11 sources of traffic. But surely some of them you don't bother with anymore, and others are way better than the rest? Personally I prefer to concentrate on the one or two sources that generate the most traffic per unit of my time/money invested. I only look at others if I run into problems of scaling.

    As far as I know the source is irrelevant. It's the ROI that matters. Every different traffic source will work different depending on the niche you are in. Whats important is how much money/time the traffic has cost you.

    Think about it this way: If you can spend $1 dollar on PPC and get a return of $2, you have yourself a (potential) successful traffic method. Then all you have to do is scale it up, so after you are receiving a positive ROI you can spent $5,000 and receive $10,000 in return.

    I have only used the PPC method as one example but the principals are the same for all methods. If the traffic is not costing you money but time, work out how many hours you are spending and what is your return. You can work out an hourly rate this way. And of course if you're doing SEO you will be repaid for a long time after the initial effort..

    If only PPC was so easy; I'd have 10 homes instead of 5.

    Traffic source is most assuredly relevant, too, btw.

    There are also many fiverr gigs for this so you can have premium users post clickable html links.
