What's your favourite city you've ever been to, and why? Also, put where you're from to put things into perspective. I'm from a small town in Southern England. Here's my top 3: 1) London, England. London gets a solid #1 because all my good opportunities come in London and every time I'm there I'm doing something great that just wouldn't happen elsewhere. As a city, it's got so many different areas which are all so different but even if it just had a fraction of these, it would still be amazing. Everything in central London just feels so important, oozes greatness and is generally a very inspiring place to be. The more arty alternative areas like Shoreditch, Whitechapel, Camden etc are equally cool and inspiring in a totally different way. I've never been somewhere that has both sides so good. 2) Krakow, Poland. Beautiful city. Small enough to walk everywhere. Really clean and safe. Loads of awesome restaurants and bars. Super super cheap. Amazing nightlife with loads of choice all close together. Polish girls! 3) Berlin, Germany. Run down and dirty in the most beautiful way possible. Really big city that you're always going to find something new or unusual in. Something going on wherever you go. Awesome unpredictable nightlife that goes on all night. Really cool abandoned buildings, strange and mysterious places. You can pretty much find whatever you want there and aside from its own more edgy charm, it's got all the benefits of a big western city.
