Does anyone else have the habit of using "your" where "you're" should be used? It's really annoying because I know when to use which but I always seem to use "your" and then when I read over my posts or whatever it is that I am writing I go back to change it. It doesn't really happen to me with the likes of "its and "it's", etc...

And for those of you that don't know the difference, it's:

I do this often without thinking. I also tend to type "Definately" rather than " Definitely" very often.

Their and They're also. Its just something I do a lot because I'm a fast typer. But what good is fast typing of your talking shite! lol

I notice a lot of people struggle with their/there/they're as well

I don't really think it has anything to do with fast typing. I'm a fairly fast typer myself and don't really make mistakes due to typing fast.

The mistakes I make on a computer I also make on paper.

I sometimes screw up on these too. Not that I don't know the difference, it's just a habit, well sometimes I get confused when I think too much about it. :/

I hate that this is one of my pet peeves. But I can't stand incorrect use of your and you're and their, there, and they're. Because it's not due to laziness, it's due to lack of education. Just proves how uneducated the English speaking population is.

Improper use of these words makes me want to punch puppies.

Hmm I don't know. My spelling mistakes could be ridiculous. My english papers would have " THIS IS LAZINESS!!! " scrawled across them in red. lol

I mean sometimes I'd simply miss out the "t" in "the". Or the first letter of some other words.

In other news, the other day I forgot how to spell " Who " whilst writing a post here. I couldn't for the life of me remember how to spell it. I was sitting with my laptop staring into space quite like this for a minute:

just use "ur", problem solved

ur welcome lol

I'm a stickler for grammar. Maybe I should have been a teacher, or maybe I'm just old; but I fucking hate internet/text speak. I don't mind if someone abbreviates a word for a reason. Like when you run out of characters on twitter or in your text message where it charges you twice. So instead of typing tomorrow you'd type 'tmrw'. Fine, but I have a cousin on facebook who's a few years younger than me and she uses 'ov' instead of 'of'. What the fuck is the point in that? It's the same two fucking characters and they're not even a fingers breadth apart.

The other day I couldn't pronounce "consultancy", it's like the word never existed in my dictionary. lol

I don't have a problem with "your" and "you're" but lately I've been having big problems with "girls" and "bitches" :(
