I'm looking for Pinteresters with great knowledge :)

I'm testing a new kind of board. When I post a pin, I need to insert two types of links:
    1) my own website (where I want to drive heavy traffic)
    2) the photographer's website (I don't really want to send traffic there)

Where should I put the link to my site? From your experience what drives the best results, pin link, or a link inside the pin description?

If its your board, you can do whatever you want. By default and if using Pin It button, image click-thru is source website. I've seen urls in pin description on group boards, but so long as it's not overdone, then it's ok. But that depends on followers of that board. For example, many of us in the recipe niche are finding that followers of big active groupboards are snippy. URLs in description, especially to a site other than the image source, are probably a no-go for these boards.

Thanks, great advice. I'll probably run a couple tests and see what's more effective.
