It's insane how much difference it makes, I never understood it before as it didn't make any sense to me.

There's a huge difference between waking up at 5 AM or 9 AM - I get everything done by noon and there's no procrastinating.. But the issue is with going to sleep by 9-10 PM :D

How do you manage that?

What is the issue with sleeping at 10 pm? If you do not get sleep, walk for one hour before that.

In IM it does harm from time to time - When it's 10 PM for me it's 3 PM U.S. East Coast and working day in most of America.. you'll sleep on your clients.

Work doesn't comes us with any time manual. Doesn't matter if you are waking up by 5 am or 9 am, what matters is how much proactive you are, that helps you to manage the things instead of procrastinating.

Divide your sleeping .. sleep at 12 pm an wake up 5 am

Then take 2 hours sleep from 1 pm to 3 pm .. you will feel like having two days, not one.

Want more time ..
Sleep from 9 pm to 12 pm
Ans very light sleep at 4 pm to 5 pm
Then 11 pm to 1 pm

You will be astonished how long your day is.

Hmm.. that's pretty interesting, might give it a try.

I did this once, and slept all day

I have tried a lot of routines, but I am not able to sleep at night if I sleep in the afternoon lol. I am still experimenting with stuff to find what works the best for me.

Although the most productive working times are 10 PM - 3 AM and Morning 6 AM - 10 AM as per my experiments, Nights are good for productivity but not for long term health, so morning seems to be the only solution

I love it when I wake up by 4am it gives me more motivation to work and It helps me work more.

Do people actually wake up at 9am?
I'll be very disgusted if I do that to myself
Maybe on Christmas and New year day that I wake up so late or when I'm ill.

Sleeping at noon guarantees that I sleep late

Too bad for me. I know it's best for me to sleep early but I can't. It's the US time that determines this for me. 9PM in my timezone is 2PM US time. So I gotta wake up every now and them to check sales and campaigns.

I suppose it’s about breaking a habit. If you force yourself to get up at 6 for a week or two then I’m sure you’ll start falling asleep at 9pm due to tiredness. Then before you know it will become a habit.

I’m a morning newbie myself though as I’ve only just managed to start getting up at 7am. That’s early for me and 5am seems like a pipe dream haha.

That's exactly what I am doing. Not only you get more done, also the work life balance is much better, you can enjoy life/family without regret that work is neglected.

I always liked to wake up early, and I find it very productive. I get half of my tasks between 5-7, and the rest between 7-15 with some small tasks here and there in the evenings.
I think it's such a productive time for a couple of reasons:
1. I just woke up, going over my tasks with the coffee.
2. No one else is awake, so there's no one to distract me. If everyone starts to wake up at 5, this method get saturated and die :D

There is an error here

Half the night
1 hour or less before the sunrise (4-5 am not pm)
10 to 12 am

This should you give 3 fully focused shift, 2 of them you are all alone.
First Shift: The other half of the night. Everyone is sleep, world is quite and it's just you. For us, it's for spiritual activities.
Second Shift: 5 am to 10 am .. This is the most productive time for mind. You should get your work done. You will do in those 5 hours 2x than normal people do from typical 9 to 6
Third shift: 1 pm to 8 pm .. this is for your social life, meeting people, play sports, hand out with friends and visit family.

Imagine how you would feel if you have already did everything by 10 am while everyone is just getting started.
