"You must add funds to your PayPal account before sending more money." WTF?!

    So help me God, Paypal will be the end of me.

    I have someone here owe money and $500 in Paypal Balance in a verified US bank account with REAL Credentials and Limits Removed.

    In spite of this, when I try to send $250 to this person, I get the message mentioned in the title of this post: "You must add funds to your PayPal account before sending more money."

    Do the people over at Paypal NOT know how to do math? >.>

    I've contacted support, but I haven't heard from them yet, and I really want to get this out of the way, ASAP.

    Anyone here have any ideas?

    I dont know what you can do with this message but i know paypal support takes day to answer! 2-4 on average! The best way you have to fix this is call them on the phone!
    I had some problems before some months and it was a pain in the ass to fix them! Took me over a month :/
    Hope you fix this soon :)

    Will do. Although I'd rather find some way to get this resolved without having to chime in on the phone (seeing as to how I'm not actually in the States n' all). Customer Support calls are the absolute bane of my existence.


    Nope, Fiverr. And yes, I'd say it's about 10 days old. So pretty new. You think that might be it, orzyman? You know any workarounds?

    Then what do you suggest? I just leave the money there to rot? If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem man... :(

    It's worth the phone call. The only way I can seem to get things done with Paypal is to get them on the phone. If you need to,it gives you the chance to escalate things up to a manager.

    some times it may give some temporary problem.The paypal support answers usually within 2 days of mailing.There is no problem with their support.But mention your problem in detail.

    I faced exactly same problem some days ago while trying to send some money from my account to another account.I tried to send money to different account that time to check but it was showing same message.So I logged in my email to check any email came or not from paypal about my account.But did not see nothing.Then I logged out and after 3 hours later I cleared all cookies and tried again and i was successful.Still now no more problem.I do not know why paypal showing that though there was enough balance to send.But good luck for me that was OK after few hours.

    The same thing happened to me with one of my paypals not too long ago. I had received funds and had more then enough money in the paypal to send money, but it said i didnt have the funds. After adding more funds i was able to send the money out, but a day or two later that paypal got limited smh

    Not very encouraging. Tomorrow is when I should receive an email from them (I contacted them the day before yesterday). If I haven't heard from them by then. I'll just have to call, I guess.

    All my problems were solved via the phone support system they offer, call them and I'm pretty sure you'll get your questions answered, their email support takes too long.

    I had the same issue yesterday, and couldn't buy SB. When I asked them they said there is a system that calculates what might interest you. If you go out of it then it will give that error. then he said me to try on other purchases and it worked.

    So your best bet is to try alternate payment methods. BTW I used Entropay VCC.

    Are you keeping money in different currency ? For some reason it might try bill your card if you have say money in $ but want to pay in euros.

    Atleast i think i had this kind of problem atleast one time, and 2nd time when i subbed to a forum with payment it billed my card in pounds since i had only $ balance in paypal.

    OK... I just got off the phone with the Paypal people. They said that in my specific case, it's happening because I'm sending a hefty sum of money out of the US while my account is still 10 days old. Yeah $250 is a "hefty sum" now somehow... :/

    They told me the workaround was to contact the people you are trying to buy from and get them to invoice you. Hope this helps anyone who's in a similar situation. ;)

    This is what happening to my account right now. I'm only sending 10$ out of my 250$+ paypal funds but this is what paypal says "You must add funds to your PayPal account before sending more money." Don't know what the hell is happening to paypal.

    I ended up sending the money in smaller batches. That was what worked. I arranged this with the service provider.

    new accounts always have issues when it comes to paypal.they are very cautious with new accounts.
