The problem is not Google, the problem is centralization and the monopoly nature of search engine.
If all search queries are from Google, then there will be monopoly of search keywords (for example if you search for "adult tube", there can only have 10 sites that receives massive traffic for that keyword).
It leads to some site will have massive traffic thank to Google, and other site will have no traffic at all even though they make the same type of content.
The same thing happens for any social network (Twitter, FB, Instagram), some people become massive popular and make ton of money from them, meanwhile 99% people have no chance to compete with them.

If you remember before Google there were many search engines. Google worked really hard to crush them all and now 99% of the world's population only knows about Google.

Google is a virus everyone is OK with
But seriously, I never used yahoo in the past lol, it's SE was terrible.
Bing now days is pretty decent and I do use it when Google's SE fails to find what I want
