For that, Bitcoin is an excellent investment.
See, you used the word investment. It is only a good investment as long as it delivers on its promises, which currently the people invested in it believe it will do. Its potential and growing adoption gives it credibility and trust, which enables rich folk to use it as a store of value as well as an investment vehicle. If its scaling and adoption goals never comes to fruition, there is no longer anything tangible supporting its value. At that point all it would take is some significant amount of capital to leave and it would send it spiraling into obscurity. It is not mature enough nor large enough to be the equivalent of gold as a digital store of value and it will never reach that maturity or size without first attaining its original goals.
