Ok any PPC experts here please give me your advice...I randomly started typing and good ole' Google finished up the first keyword for me. You know how it does that thing when you start typing and then it has the drop down with suggestions..Yeah that happened. So I was just doing research out of curiosity (tried PPC before didn't quite work out like I planned). What I realized is when I typed these into Google and Bing NO ADS SHOWED UP AT ALL!

So I did some keywd research under google adwords keyword tool..under the broad match there were 18,100 global searches & 14, 100 local searches. These keywds as a phrase had only 12,100 global and 9,900 local searches. Again these keywds did not have any ADS SHOW UP under GOOGLE OR BING..

So my question is...are there literally no competitors advertising using these keywords under Google and Bing?

    Please give me your insight.

If there is no ads showing then it probably isnt a good niche to advertise in.

ok thanks for your input guys.

The reason I ask is because the keywords being used include the word like and a major company that is always being advertised. I just found it to be weird.

My goal was to test a product relative to that company, I just did another search and saw 1 ad popped up on Bing and 1 more on Google.

Is there any way this means there would be low competition?

I am not playing on using the keywds for an EMD or anyway to generate adsense revenues.

Adwords competition and seo competitin are totally different.
More Adwords ads means there is more people interested in that particular industry. But I guess if there's more Adwords competition, there is going to be more ppl competiting in terms if seo
