Over the weekend, MediaVine announced their new monetization product for smaller sites.

I guess the constant updates by Google is beginning to affect everyone, since everyone is losing traffic to much bigger established sites. It makes no sense limiting the sites you accept.

With MediaVine's Journey program, you can now get accepted with just 10k monthly visits.

Below is a tweet from them and what do you think?

Will they pay more than Ezoic? I can't find any payment information or anything.

MediaVine pays much more than ezoic.
But I don't know if this Journey program would pay just like their regular plans.

Does anyone know how much they pay? I did not find any information.

Wow this is a bad sign tbh. This further shows sites are bleeding and bleeding fast
Yea, I agree. They had to lower their requirements because there just aren't enough sites with those high traffic anymore.

I think another reason is AdSense, it is moved from CPA to CPM now, and became a direct rival of all others. Mediavine, Adthrive, Ezoic etc. they don't have much to do other than bloating your pages with ads (most of them is provided by Google as well) and trying to get more websites. Unfortunately, Google is dominating as usual in this area as well. I hope I will see G's collapse before I leave website SEO.

I'm trying it out; I make less than a quarter of what I did when I had Adsense on the site;

How long have you been with them?

According to those who've been on the platform for a few months and according to MediaVine themselves, it takes about 2 weeks for RPM(revenue per 1000) to ramp up to probably the best possible for your niche/site.

If you've not spent upto 2 weeks or more, you may want to give it sometime.

It's not two weeks yet; I'll try to wait and see what happens, thanks for the advice @HenryObi . But in my opinion there is a difference between Journey by Mediavine and Mediavine. Besides the fact that they pay 65

I think they both pay net65. The primary difference I know of is 70% revenue share on journey vs 75% on Mediavine.

Did anyone switch from Ezoic to Journey? I have not yet migrated.

And still (for the moment......) we are talking about less than a quarter compared to Adsense. That doesn't seem small to me.

Question for those who are already in Journey.

A- Does it allow to choose the density of ads as in Ezoic?

B- Does it allow to deactivate ad types? For example I don't like video ads on my sites.

No, you almost have no control over ads at all. I don't know if you can get support to that for you. But on the dashboard you really can't do much at all.

As said up above, you almost can't change anything on the Journey dashboard. The dashboard is mostly for getting analytics report. Even that is limited. It's a very simplified dashboard.

Once again, I don't know if you could get support to do anything done for you.

The support if very bad because they never respond in that community they have. Other times I have reported a bug in their Grow plugin, and they still don't respond or fix it. One of the things why I have not yet changed is the poor support they have.
